Freedom of the Press

The Constitution states that the President has to give a State of the Union speech once a year.  Beyond that, to my knowledge, there is no requirement that the President communicate ANYTHING to the press or anyone else.  Certainly it is helpful politically, certainly it helps in terms of selling the new initiatives that are regularly coming down the pike.  But it not legally required.  The press has no legal claims on the office of the President.

And I would ask: if Jim Acosta has a legal right to ask questions of the President, does he also have the legal right to tell him to go fuck himself to his face?  Are there no boundaries, no residual dignities, which can be afforded the highest office in the land?

Are we all to be made the helpless victims of mass inanity and insanity?  Of judges who mistake their personal opinions for the law?

Any nation filled with mediocrity is doomed to mediocrity.  We rose above mediocrity in many ways for a long time, but the long term results of Cultural Marxism are turning our brains into lifeless Soviet era concrete blocks.

Sacrifice

One of my favorite movies is Thin Red Line.  There is a scene where Sean Penn asks Jim Caviezel “what difference do you think you can make, one man in all this madness?”

The answer, of course, is to sacrifice himself for others.  To die nobly.

I ask myself: how can we possibly stop this madness?  These tens of millions of people, many young, bred to hate, bred for slogans, bred to obey orders, bred to crap on people, bred to hurt them.  These millions of people, filled with fear, filled with confusion, unfit for liberty, unfit for maturity, unfit for anything like a dignified life, unfit for a future, merely a perennial Present.

And I think of all the ways I can die.  Thomas More was given a noble death, because in the era of kings, they still believed in nobility.  But we live in an era of dogs.  Dogs tear their prey apart, and scatter it.

But, perhaps worse, we live in the era of humanity, of humanity at its worst, in aggregate.  Humans like to torture their enemies, to make them bleed, make them plead, make them hurt.

There is nothing I can do to guarantee I won’t die on my knees.  I know this.  But what I CAN do, what is in my control, is to consecrate my spirit to nobility.  If it is taken from me, there was a spark for a moment, for a brief moment.  I moved towards what was best in me, and what is best in all of us.

I feel the currents of emotion under the public waves more than most.  I trust in the decency of most people, but I do not trust in their intelligence.  Most people are easily misled, and misleading is what our political apparatus, our universities by and large, and substantially all our media exist at the moment to do.  All our problems could be fixed overnight, if truth were simply told reliably.  But it isn’t.  Lies fill the air, everywhere.

I believe I am going to start referring to our media as the Fascist Media, in aggregate.  There are exceptions–I am a big Tucker Carlson fan–but most of them would be making Goebbels proud.  As he rightly understood, the propaganda is not even in the telling of lies.  He tried to include relevant facts in everything he did.  The lie is in the interpretation, the meaning of Jim Acosta, for example, more or less flipping Donald Trump off to his face, then screaming he is being suppressed when the President–or the Secret Service, on his behalf–responds appropriately.

And the lie, of course, is in the omission.

My rebellion, I am convinced, needs to consist in me becoming the best version of me I can.  The rest is up to Fate.  Maktub.

Vampires and werewolves

I recently underwent a significant life event, for me, and anticipate another very soon, which I hope will be strongly positive.  But it is odd that, in the same way the unconscious can, if you train it, wake you up at 5:30 (or whatever other time you choose) every morning, it also processes things in advance of their happening.  Knowing it is going to happen is sufficient.

My dreams have been unusually evocative, which is saying something, since I have long had a very active dream life.

Last night I was dreaming about being a part of a coven of vampires as a child.  I did not know they were vampires: they revealed it.  The holy symbol on the wall morphed into something bloody and skeletal.  It was a bit like the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney, where one picture turns into another as you sink down.  They lived in a locked room, but I knew how to get into it.  There was a child, who I understood to be me, who started drinking beer and watching TV at age 6.  No one said no. Everyone was asleep.

Psychodynamically, I think this is pretty clear.  If you can’t read it, I won’t read it for you, but I wanted to focus on one point I thought of general interest: the image of the vampire is best seen as the narcissist.

I recently spoke with my father on the phone and based on some things he said, I realized that it has never occurred to him until recently that he is going to die.  He understands it theoretically–he in fact HAS nearly died several times–and of course he knows he is human.  But I think in important respects he has emotionally considered death to be something that happens to other people, and which does not apply to him.

This was a remarkable realization for me.  Emotionally, he thinks he is immortal, and has lived accordingly.

Vampires are neither living nor dead. They are animated, in that they move, but emotionally something is frozen inside.  There is no movement in and out.  The breezes of life do not flow through them, in the still graves they carry in the darkness even when alert and on the prowl.  They exist, but they do not live.  They certainly do not love.

And it is hard to convey to someone who has not experienced it how emotionally draining it can be to interact with someone who is emotionally unable to recognize that you are there.  Emotionally, they are looking at themselves in a mirror while talking to you.  They speak to you, but they are speaking to themselves, and using you as a mirror.  This is terribly damaging to your sense of reality, of individuality, and of sanity outright.  You know and sense something is wrong, but there is nothing in the words which conveys it.  The problem is in the context, the relationship, such that it is.

[I will add parenthetically that Donald Trump, as someone who loves life, work, and people, is not even remotely a narcissist.  He is perhaps a bit greedy for experience–he has too much YOLO in him, hence his serial infidelities, which is his only real character flaw–but he is obviously quite empathetic, quite attuned to the emotions and needs of others, and quite genuinely warm and generous in temperament.]

And this morning I got to thinking about Werewolves, creatures of intermittent rage.  And it hit me that this is a key feature of Borderline Personality Disorder.:

People with borderline personality disorder may experience mood
swings and display uncertainty about how they see themselves and their
role in the world. As a result, their interests and values can change
quickly.

People with borderline personality disorder also tend to
view things in extremes, such as all good or all bad. Their opinions of
other people can also change quickly. An individual who is seen as a
friend one day may be considered an enemy or traitor the next. These
shifting feelings can lead to intense and unstable relationships.

You know who else this describes?  Antifa, and the REEEE’s.  And does not transexuality also fit into this, where you might be a boy one day, a girl the next, and we need 367 classifications for evanescent sexual moods fundamentally unstable people might feel?

But most of all the RAGE, the all or nothing, the you are with us or we hate you.

Here is another link: https://www.health.com/depression/borderline-personality-disorder-symptoms

We all have an internal critic, but people with BPD struggle constantly
with overwhelming self-doubt. These individuals have an incredibly
unstable self-esteem, so they rely heavily on external praise and
approval to help define their identity, Dr. Oldham says. “Underneath
that, there’s a sense of inferiority and incompleteness,” he says.
People with BPD may even copy others’ actions and behaviors, because
“their ability to be independent and autonomous is very impaired.”

Note that last sentence: “their ability to be independent and autonomous is very impaired”.

Or this, manifestly true with regard to today’s Left:

“Interpersonally, there’s a real impairment in being able to see
yourself from the outside and see others from the inside,” says Dr.
Oldham. In other words, people with BPD struggle with both
self-awareness and empathy. “There’s a lack of understanding about how
your own behavior impacts people, so when your emotions are out of
control, it doesn’t register that this causes stress for others,” he
says. This lack of awareness is one reason people with borderline tend
to have trouble maintaining healthy long-term relationships.

There are a number of other symptoms in that link worth reading.  What I would submit, though, is that most of them are implied in the term “snowflake”.  Most of them–the mental illness symptoms–are implied by the way these people are trying to live their lives.   They panic when they don’t get their way.  They lack adult coping skills.  They fly into rages easily.  They want to destroy all traditional social roles so they can occupy serially all of them.

What you have with BPD–which has long seemed to me to be kind of a catchall for seriously fucked up people who can’t be shoveled into any other classification–is a complete lack of a sense of stable self, of self worth, and of belonging.  Such people are clay which can be easily molded into a highly coherent, Borg-like, political force.

Now, my own opinion is that the American Psychiatric Association, in rejected the proposed category of “Developmental Trauma Disorder”, not only betrayed science, not only betrayed basic standards of intellectual integrity, but made the actual remediation of mental illness–supposedly their main charter and purpose–much more difficult.

All these things: Bipolar, monopolar, OCD, chronic anxiety, BPD, Narcissism: they all flow from poor attachment, in my view, as children, where actual brain damage is not present.  Large things nearly always begin from and flow from, small things.

Now, our world is confusing and scary.  We have no idea what changes the psychopaths in Silicon Valley (or China, or Russia) will bring about in the next ten years, but it is not unreasonable to suppose some of them will not be good.  We live in a world filled with Nuclear Weapons and weaponized viruses.  There is a lot to be anxious about.

But over and above all of this, I think many parents are failing in basic ways.  It may well be that the single best contribution to the future mental health of our nation we could make would be to figure out how to guarantee mothers can stay home full time with their children for their first three years or so.  My rework of our financial system, I might suggest, would certainly do this.

And I think the hyperinflation of the 1970’s–which caused many women to enter the work force–along with the feminist assault on motherhood, is largely responsible for the mass hysteria and mental illness we see today.  It did not spring from the forehead of Zeus.

And much of this seems to have been planned.  Our media fills our heads with fear, and fear breeds rigidity and following stupidity.  Fear makes it easy to manipulate people.

Again, I don’t know how we survive all this, but we have to try.  I will do my little part, in my little corner of the world.

Manners

There is no virtue in acquiescing in matters of principle out of courtesy, or a misguided perceived need to take the “high road”.  There is no need, in other words, to prefer the style and substance of Mitt Romney over those of Donald Trump when you are right.

To give up to avoid being called names is pusillanimous, and it betrays an ACTUAL lack of principle.  It says you value how you are perceived over who you are and what you stand for.

The Democrats are cheating everywhere.  And even when they are losing, they are not giving up.  Look at Stacey Abrams, who still thinks she can cheat her way to victory.

From this moment, I don’t think any Republican should concede any election until efforts have been made to provide reasonable assurances no fraud is present, and that no votes of people not allowed to vote have been counted.

It is perhaps an act of desperation for Chuck Schumer and others to admit publicly that they want to create a climate in which people can break the law openly, and vote in elections they are not allowed to vote in legally, but it is certainly a fact.  That is what they want.  That is what they are pursuing.  And if they are not met with firmness, they will succeed.

Good manners when people are fucking with you just means you are a pussy.  Don’t be a pussy.

Globalism

Globalism, ultimately, is a force of reaction.  It is retrogressive in intent and program.

Ponder in what consists human progress: it is not the perfection of government.  It is the perfection of each and every living human person, such that no government is necessary.  It is a society of angels, living freely, each their own way, bothering no one, pursuing their own rational and peaceful ends.

The perfection of government is inherently inimical to the perfection of the individual.  They are antithetical.  Where government needs to grow, necessarily that means people are small or shrinking.  Perhaps their sins invite policing, and perhaps the police force them into sin.  It is sick, either way.

Expanded slightly, if there is crime, there are imperfect people.  But quite often, imperfect people want and crave power, which itself is the pure wish, but they usually need a means and a rationale.  They need to give at least some portion of those they would rule a reason to support them.  This is when they invent sins for which they are the remedy.  “Capitalism” would be an obvious example of such a sin.  Inequality would be another.

Without the possibility of human individual moral growth–without the distributed notion that this is possible, and can be described and recognized–social cancers become inevitable.  Collectivism is such a cancer, and the analogy is reasonably precise: a cancer is a growth and conglomeration of cells without individual purpose, without place, which do not belong, but which cling to one another tightly and desperately seek survival at all costs.  Their only desire is MORE, even if it kills everything.

I am perhaps speaking strangely.  I am in a strange mood.

BDSM

Boycott, Divest, Sanction Movement.

Accident?  No, I don’t think it is.  It is a literally and very consciously cruel bad joke.  The underlying intent, of course, is the rape and murder of Israel, with a very happy celebration to be had on her corpse.

Change

We must inflict change
Change must be inflicted.

The obdurate dirt, and filthy
clay must be subverted.

We MUST inflict Change
change must be inflicted.

If we are too many
we must become few.

If we are too few,
we must become many.

Change must be inflicted.
There is no other way.

The fish who swim in the sea,
and lakes and streams:
we must command them.

The sky: we must reach the sky we must conquer the sky
Earth cannot be enough, until it is,
and then it will be all,

After we inflict our change.

Beetles march in imperfect rows and must
be corrected, and birds sing at the wrong times.

Something is wrong, something is
very wrong.

We must change it
Change must be inflicted.

We grow through strength:
this will never do.

We wane in weakness:
this, too, will never do.

Because we must inflict change.

Change must be inflicted.

Lovers meet, wrestle and part,
or perhaps they stay.  This is the
eternal way, but we do not want the eternal way:

we want change.  We want change.
We are the inflictors of change, the enforcers
of change, the angels of change and the demons of change.

All that was, must be no more, no more.
All that will be we have already conquered.

We live forever in shadows, forever in the transition,
forever in what could be, but will never be

as long as we inflict change.

We are the guardians of change, of all
that almost was.

We are the guarantors of strife and evil, because
we never rest.

We inflict change and call it good, and tiring of
good call it evil.  And we call evil good, and then
inflict more change.

Nothing is left in the end.  We have interrupted it all.

There is to be no party at the end of time, merely a
quiet fart and then silence.

Such is our will.

Possibilities

I am
   a ghost
Wandering in America 100
years from now,

After IT happens,
whatever IT is.

I float down Average Avenue,
in Springfield, always Springfield.

Weeds cover everything, the roofs are
collapsed,

But I see what was.

Through the bolted door, I
perceive the TV blazing like a cold hearth,
stealing: stealing poetry, heat, music.

Strange shapes move on it, but they mean nothing.

I see the people, frozen, not in
contemplation, but in ablation.

Their lives consist in forgetting their lives.
Work is play, and play is something for children.
And the play of children is eagerly consumed,
because there is little else.

Mass produced food is mass produced in the kitchen.
It is subjected to suitable reactions, and enhanced steams
fill the room.

The children, not knowing
how to inhabit this world, begin slowly,

with their own devices, their own screens.  Mommy
feels nothing.  Daddy feels nothing.  Perhaps I
should feel nothing too.

I watch, and wonder why they can’t turn outward.
Or perhaps, why they cannot turn inward.
I wonder, why they are frozen even now, as they
were frozen then, awaiting they knew not what.

There are ghosts, and
there are the ghosts of ghosts.

Not all that ever lived ever left
a mark.

We are all cast into the world,

but many spend their lives waiting to be cast
into something else.

This is the life of a toadstool.

Comment: sorry.  I feel bleak at the moment, but it will improve.  This is my method.

My feelings

Democracy is
           a sparrow with
a broken wing

Those who broke it
          Say:
It was them it was them the
villains.

Darkness descends
and is called light.
To see clearly in this “light”
what “must be done” is
to be blind, madly it is to be
a rabid dog who
has forgotten
everything, and everyone.
Foam is Truth they say and rage
Fidelity.

Where the ledge of hope
     for the teetering soul?

Voting sanity

Paul Ryan does not, as far as I know, turn the gavel over to Nancy Pelosi until January.  There is time to pass legislation designed to make voter fraud harder.

The Democrats tipped their hand CLEARLY in this election.  We had, what?  4 or 5 races where tens of thousands of ballots showed up in the middle of the night.  We saw them calling for early voting and it is not hard to connect early voting with often voting.

We are seeing in Florida that not only did people vote who were not legally allowed to, that the Democrats actively SUPPORT them in this purported “right” which exists nowhere in the law of our land, and which is nakedly being asserted to in effect buy votes.

All of this shows the Democrats are scared that working class whites, the black community, and large segments of the Latino community are deserting them.  They want people who came here illegally, who want free stuff, and who hold our laws in contempt providing them the wave of power they have become so addicted to.

We can’t allow this.  The fraud is open enough that no one can honestly question sincere and effective means to prevent it.  The Democrats, obviously, will scream bloody murder, but in my honest opinion it is an open question if they even won the House.  They certainly stole at least one Senate seat and actively trying to steal another.

I think Obama won fairly in 2008.  John McCain was a shitty candidate most Republicans didn’t even like.  But I will again assert that it is far from clear that Romney did not have that election stolen from him.

Democrats keep asserting “there is no evidence of fraud”, but in cases where there is no follow up, where the “loser” concedes without a recount, no evidence WOULD ever show up, since there would be no investigation.

Trump needs to audit every district in the country, every election for national office  If it takes passing a law to allow him to do this, the fucking retards in the House need to pass the law, and the Senate needs to approve it.  And they need to do it NOW, or in the next six weeks, at any rate.

We need to prevent a similar fiasco in 2020.  It is FUCKING 2018.  This sort of bullshit is 19th century bullshit. It is emerging democracy bullshit.  It should not be happening here, now.

As far as Hillary, one needs to wonder if she is saying she is running so that if she is arrested she can claim it was political.  She sure as fuck won’t win.

For all intents and purposes, our political climate is determined by several different “stations” people listen to.  The people who listen to MSNBC and CNN are gone.  They are not reachable, except by visitation by the Angel of Sanity, and that angel has difficulty getting through.  But all the language and ideas originating in those places can and should be considered background noise.  It is incoherent.  Irrelevant, for all the people capable of sanity, and capable of making informed decisions.  So even if they keep the volume at 11, it doesn’t matter.  We can and should ignore them.  Their screams should not factor into public policy decisions.

Obviously, once the asylum is reconquered by the inmates in 2019, they will do what they are going to do.  The Senate, last I read at any event, is still controlled by Republicans, and Trump is still the President with the pen and the veto.

I will add, that I don’t think ordinary, law abiding Americans can take much more of this patently anti-democratic cheating and lying.  If this happens in 2020, there will be bodies in the streets.  And it is completely unnecessary.  All that is needed is common sense, and modicum of courage, and some planning.

Congress: is this beyond your ability?  Are you all dickless cowards?
