Global Warming

As I have said often, I don’t believe in global warming.  More specifically, my careful and long term analysis of the hypothesis, and the data gathered against it, militates to the conclusion, in my mind, that nearly every person connected to this apparatus must have been corrupted to some greater extent, by the blandishments of money, fame, praise, and an underlying quite real with global ecology as a whole, if not warming specifically.  For many, I think, the USE of global warming to create the sort of government which can address the things they really believe in is quite justifiable ethically.

Be all that as it may, this THREAT, and it is sold as a threat, covered in the news as a threat, whispered and shouted about as a threat, is a very real, tangible, important issue for many people. The threat of a global catastrophe is more than enough to drive people farther to the Left, to allow them to overlook policy positions they may have hated had they not become one issue voters.

Global Warming believers, in other words, just might be Trump supporters, but for this one issue.  Some of them, at any rate.

As I keep saying, my understanding of the hypothesis is that the upper Troposphere has to warm rapidly, roughly 3x overall warming of the Earth, in order for CO2 to create added warming down below.  CO2, to be clear, is absolutely necessary for life on Earth.  It is categorically one of the elements which prevents the Earth from turning into a ball of ice in endless space.

But the importance of CO2 is inversely proportional to its concentration.  As it goes from nothing to something, it is HUGELY important.  As it goes from a lot, to a REALLY lot?  Not so much.  Its’ effect is an inverse logarithm.  This is the math, or so I read.

It seems to me it would be prudent, and intelligent for Trump to convene some alternative to the IPCC, which is run by the very people who both work for an aspiring world government, and who also want to bring it about.

Such a committee, or panel, or working group, could focus on this one issue.  No more are needed, although ice maximums and minimums are pretty indicative too.

They could post a graph of the temperature data in the relevant altitudes.  They could explain the hypothesis clearly, which is something the warmings NEVER do.  They could point out water vapor is the main greenhouse gas.  They could mention the inverse logarithm, particularly since the warmists keep implying there is some “runaway” point, which is ridiculous.

They could point out the Earth has been covered with ice, and been devoid of ice, and that we are presently still in an Ice Age, since for most of its history, the Earth did not have polar ice.

There is whole lot of basic data, rudimentary data, which is not shared with the public.  This fact alone should alert anyone with what I would describe as a healthy level of skepticism to the fundamental corruption of the whole project.

What I have in mind, put slightly differently, is a more structured, more carefully constructed, ALTERNATIVE to the IPCC, which is staffed by people whose jobs do not depend entirely on the existence of anthropogenic global warming.

The fossil fuel industry will of course support this initiative entirely, but it would be politically prudent, if possible, not to take any money from them.  I would like this thing to subsist entirely on taxpayer money.  We are already funding the warmists.  We might as well fund their more honest counter parts.

Mueller’s End Game

Think about it: if Mueller COULD charge Trump with a crime, he would have by now.  That is the only reason he was appointed.  The methods used to get him into place were illegal, being based on known lies.

But Trump is not going to resign.  Ponder that.

Trump is most likely not going to be impeached, and if even if he were, he is not going to be convicted by the Senate.  We KNOW the Russians had nothing to do with the election, even though they apparently tried.

We don’t know what the Chinese tried, but given that their candidate HAD to have been Hillary, they obviously failed.

And what I think most people don’t understand is that the President cannot be arrested and charged with a crime while in office.  That is my understanding of the Constitution.  The Founders created a means of quickly removing a President, if need be, so that he then COULD be charged, but while he is in office, he cannot be arrested.  He cannot be tried for any crime, high or low.

So I see no means by which this witch hunt can remove Trump from office.  There is no end game in which the Left gets the outcome they want.

The goal can only be to create a distraction, which they have, and to do their best to embarrass the President, which I think they have not done.  His ratings were unaffected by the convictions of both Manafort and Cohen in one week.  His supporters GET that this is an illegal witch hunt, a travesty of justice, and a nakedly partisan effort to reverse the results of an election in which the American people sent a clear message to the coastal elites, and hacks of all sorts at all levels of government, and the political apparatus.

It may be that Trump’s poll numbers are not climbing greatly, but I strongly suspect that receptivity to his message among Democrats and independents, IS climbing steadily.  They are perhaps not quite ready to make the jump yet, but they are starting to think about it, for the first time in their lives.

The Democrats do not value democracy.  This much is obvious.  They do not value the opinions of ordinary Americans, do not seek to help them, and do not value free speech, diversity of opinion, an honest press, or the dignity of the lowest among us who were nonetheless born among us, and thus have a right to ask to be respected more than people born in other nations who broke our laws to get here.

The Democrats value votes.  That is all they value.  That is not even remotely enough to survive indefinitely as a national power.  When people’s perceptions catch up with reality, they are going to find themselves losing everywhere.

Fact of Life

When the truth finally emerges, it emerges that the truth emerged a long time ago.

There is nothing you haven’t heard.  There is much you have not recognized.

Food for your paranoia, aka some truly scary stuff

There was a story from True Pundit a few weeks ago that this woman had uncovered key witnesses in a pedophile ring that went to very high levels, and reportedly included Bill Clinton and senior Washington people.  She was reported dead in a hotel room shortly after, on her own account, reporting some of what she had found to the FBI, DHS, and others.  The implication obviously is that she was silenced.

Here is the original story: https://truepundit.com/investigative-journalist-found-dead-in-d-c-hotel-room-weeks-after-reporting-bill-clinton-to-fbi-dhs-for-allegedly-raping-boy/

There is a lot of BS on the internet, so I’ve been checking back from time to time. I checked local newspapers, but found nothing.

Snopes picked it up.  A journalist named Jen Moore was in fact found dead, and the cause of death undetermined as of whenever they posted this, on August 27, 2018, Monday.

Here is her alleged last interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-0L73Kd9k4

Listen to the first ten minutes or so.  The interviewer is kind of a goof, but she is clearly a switched on, motivated woman.  She is not a flake.

She does make these allegations, of high level, organized pedophile rings.

Facts:

1. She died suddenly.

2. Cause of death not determined, and as far as I can tell, no effort to determine cause of death has been made. No autopsy has been performed.

3. She claimed to have found evidence of some really evil, literally Satanic activity, and was planning to continue to gather evidence and report it.

4. It implicated senior officials.  She says the FBI specifically seems to be protecting these people.

5. At least one of her interviews with the government involved an interview in a basement with a black window with a person she couldn’t see.

6. She has been threatened before with being killed, on her own account.

We all die, and at times we can’t always choose.  Which we USUALLY can’t choose.  Dying trying to rescue someone from a burning building, or winning an important battle is a great death.  For most of us, it sneaks up.  Sometimes this sneaking is literal.

But a life lived in fear is no life at all.  If this life is all we get, then nothing matters.  If we get more, then even the worst death may have some value in the context of eternity.

But all of us should pray that light enters this world, enters this darkness, and dispels all this evil.

In my own view, there is CLEARLY something here.  This is far more substantive than the allegations which were made to disappear with Pizzagate by mocking them.

These people, in my view, exist.  They have power.  They pull strings.  And they kill people.

And they fucking HATE Trump.

The price of cooperation

The deal with psychopaths is that they don’t give and keep their word.  Their word is a ruse designed to get past one obstacle, and to be forgotten the next moment.

If they tell you that if you just cooperate with them now, that they will feel gratitude, it is absurd to believe them.

If they tell you you are safe, it is stupid to believe them.

The only protection is a functioning system of government with police protection, and/or the physical ability to protect yourself.

If the psychopaths fully take over our government, nowhere is far enough.  Nowhere is safe.  You can be found on a remote island in Fiji, or the jungles of Borneo, if they want to find you.

And self evidently, no identified dissident can move anywhere in this or any other developed country freely.  As I keep saying, this is the big and obvious lie in futuristic dystopias, like, say, Minority Report.

They have facial recognition and gait recognition.  If you disguise yourself, you will stand out because they can’t identify you.  License plate scanning has been robust for years now.  You can’t go anywhere on any highway that you are not known quickly, if someone is looking.

Disappearing is getting harder, and harder, and many highly intelligent people are using the cover of preventing terrorism to make it functionally impossible, at least for people outside the System.  Right now, it is mostly accurate to say there is nowhere to go.

So every cooperation in the direction of giving these people what they want is ultimately futile.  Once they have what they want, they can turn on you with impunity.  If they win, good people lose.

There is no point trying to delay the reckoning.  If it is going to come, it will come, and you won’t be able to sidestep it.  There is no escape.

I do think about moving to another country from time to time, especially when I read about how corrupt our nation has already become, how much control and surveillance is already in place, how corrupt, particularly, the FBI and CIA already are, but then I think: it is here, or nowhere.  Now, or never.  If I lose here, I lose here.  There is nowhere to run, that I can see.

This place, this country, this time: this is where good people must make their stands, make their voices heard, rat out their corrupt supervisors or underlings, tell the truth to courts, enforce the laws honestly even in the face of fear.  There is no other time.  There will be no other place.

This is my gut feeling.  It is an astonishing feeling, to feel alive in such a time.  But life has always been odd, has it not?  It always ends.  Everything we build always crumbles.  Everything we were is always forgotten.  We all have a last breath, perhaps with a last thought, as we go on to what comes next, if there is something which comes next.

And not knowing what comes next, if something comes next: that is an extraordinary thing too, is it not?  We have not solved this problem.  We can’t even figure where and what matter is, and so logically cannot say anything truly final about what it means to have a body, to occupy it, to use it, to express it, and to leave it, in some way.

If I might quote Madonna, in a ludicrous change of tone, Life is a Mystery.  It truly is.

The Chinese

I don’t think I am putting any ideas into the heads of people to whom this would be obvious when I say that funding anti-Trump agitation propaganda would be a logical part of Chinese efforts to protect their substantial–and likely, for them, important–trade barriers.

With Trump, they are dealing with a very seasoned negotiator with balls, which is not something they have run into in the modern era.  Certainly not since they threw off the last vestiges of pretending Communism could work in the 1990’s, in a naked bid to get money, wealth and power for their oligarchs, even at the cost of the continued and indeed increasing misery of everyone but their elites.

The Chinese has used government spies and hackers to steal all sorts of technology, not just from our military and government, but from our industries as well.  They have likely stolen from Intel, Motorola, Apple.  And they certainly openly allow Hollywood content to be openly copied and sold, as well as all sorts of other protected content.

It is past time we asked them to act civilized, to act like members of an international order characterized by mutual respect and the rule of law, and in so doing to act like something other than feudal warlords and common thieves, which is how they have been acting.

America, in many ways, is no innocent.  I get this.  Howard Zinn was only 90% wrong, and in some very few cases perhaps even mostly correct and even honest.  Unless and until one studies the atrocities of the Communists carefully, it is hard to even consider defending, say, the United Fruit Company.

But very, very few tyrants in human history have approached the AVERAGE level of abuse and intrusiveness of the average Communist dictatorship (to say Communist dictatorship is of course redundant, as a Communist democracy is a contradiction in terms, the two being antitheses).  Genghiz Khan, as a rule, felt no need to force people to think him.  He simply killed people who disagreed with him.  The Communists are every bit as murderous as the Mongols, but with the added humiliation and horror of placing large numbers of people in psychological torture camps for long periods of time, up to and including the duration of life, which is always shortened there.

So the Shah was better than Communists, certainly, and better than the Mullahs, certainly.  Iran would be a prosperous place today, that we would all want to visit, if the Shah had kept power.  The Revolutionary Guard–as is always the case with radicals–killed more people in their first year than the Shah had killed in his lifetime.  That is my understanding.  The secret prisons, which were largely empty, filled quickly once they replaced him.

Guatamala is a much harder question.  But the easy question is: would we will the style of government of China as it exists today on the world, and that answer is an easy FUCK NO.  They may not use literal slave yokes any more, but what goes on in the back country after the secret police make you disappear stays in the back country, and far from prying ears, no one can hear you scream.  No one cares when you break.  And no one mourns you when you die.

Since anyone who cares to likely has a detailed psychological profile on me by now, I will admit that my fear is not being shot, but being broken by psychopaths over a long period of time.  That is the fear of all people with sense.  You cannot read about what these murderous, horrifically evil human beings have done with anything but a stone in your stomach, and silent horror in your eyes.

Socialism and Class

I may have mentioned I am listening to David Copperfield.  It is impossible not to notice that in that world everyone more or less has their place and their station.  Respectable people are respectable.  Working men and women are common.  The educated are educated, and all in all your life and prospects in large measure depend upon your birth, and how you use the English language.  A commoner will never be a barrister, or so it seems.

And it occurs to me that the nations where Socialism has gotten a strong hold all had strongly held ideas about hierarchy, place, and a relatively fixed system of privileges and duties.  This is certainly true of England, Russia, France, and even China.

And it occurs to me that the core idea of Socialism is ALSO that everyone has a place, a station, to which all people must be assigned by, it is assumed, their NEW betters, rather than their old betters.  The intellectuals, rather than the hereditary elites.

I have said this before, but it is hard to suppress the sense that the salient objection most intellectuals felt to ancient systems of privilege was not that privilege is inherently wrong, but that the wrong sorts of people were in charge.  They wanted, and want, to out-aristocrat the aristocrats, not undo the fundamental tenets and habits of the system. They just want new management, not a more just order.  They consider the aristocrats dull, and the bourgeoisie their enablers and minions.  The Artist and the Intellectual, we are told, are to be their successors.  This is, we are told, only just, although the why is quite obscured by the highly disingenuous and misleading verbiage surrounding the project.

If you observe this, then add some magical thinking about how things should be free–Mugabe was going to deliver free shit, as was Chavez, and as will Sanders–you have the Left over the past 2 centuries or so.

Tantra, the Self and grinding dreams

Last night I was dreaming the “Disaster” we all seem to fear happened.  Everyone was scattering, gathering their food and backpacks if they had them, their guns if they had them, and taking off for an uncertain and likely short future.

The night before, I was in a Gulag, doing endless work under endless abuse, under a hot sun.  We did pushups, we were beaten, we were insulted.

My sets of dreams lately have had distinct textures.  I feel like some deep part of my self is contacting not just my waking consciousness, but what lies beneath all of this.  Some of this is me, my past, my pain, but some of it is more.

The Gulag, in particular, had in a way I can’t describe the texture of a straw mat.  It was composed of strands, threaded together to make an apparent whole, to make what seemed solid ground, but which wasn’t.

I feel like this gulag–Laogai, to use the Chinese word, which is more relevant, since they still exist all these years later, after so much of the world has evolved into something approximating pervasive decency–represented a true bottom for me.  This is the bottom of my perceptual field.  It contains my early trauma, but also the trauma of life itself, the suffering at the root of it.

Below, there is no more ground.  It opens up to sky below as well as sky above.  It is thick, very thick, and dissolving it will leave me in open space.

But this is the goal.  This is freedom.  I can go where I like.

And it occurs to me that the Self–the Atman, or atta–which the Buddhists said did not exist consists in a faculty which has as its only purpose LIMITING our perception.  The Self is “that which makes dreams and vistas smaller, the eyes dimmer, the mind duller, and which erodes all the other faculties in negative ways.”  The Self is a step down transformer which serves the sole purpose of rejection.  It has no affirmative function, and asking it to do more than it can is to destroy it.  This is why growth has to be gradual, and the release of the restraints also gradual.  The hose has to become bigger and bigger, until the ocean can be embraced, and the hose dissolved as no longer necessary.

Tantra, I read, means woven.  What we create is likewise woven.  And what is woven can be reduced to strings, and what was behind that pattern can then be seen. You enter what is behind the picture through the strands composing it.  There is really no other good way.
