Given the mobs marching around the streets, it’s not too early or too unreasonable to recollect the French Revolution.

But there are MAJOR differences.  The main one is that we are a middle class, bourgeois society.  And WE ARE NEARLY ALL ARMED.

Our government could be turned against us.  That would be bloody and awful, although even there I think vastly more people would defect than obey.

But mobs cannot conquer the masses of us.  That is the specific reason the 2nd Amendment exists.  We are all the Army which protects our freedoms.  That was always supposed to be the job of all of us, just as it was in the early days of the Roman Republic, where everyone was expected to take his turn in the Legions.

The last thing something this traumatizing happened was 9/11.  Remember how air travel was shut down for a long time, then radically changed?  Fear was in the air?  Every day was going to bring some new disaster?

If you still have not figured it out,a large segment–large enough, anyway–of our government is in active conspiracy against the American people.  The specific aims are unclear, other than vastly increased and ultimately unbreakable control.

But consider in this regard that 9/11 was almost certainly a staged, planned event, one which involved elements of our government, perhaps up to and including the President, and almost certainly the CIA.

Don’t forget, never forget, that Tower 7 was brought down by explosives which MUST have been planted before that day.  The first explosions started happening about when I personally think United 93 was supposed to hit the Tower.  A final set of explosions finally brought it down 8 hours later.

I have mentioned it multiple times, but a study has found that there is NO WAY 7 was brought down in any way but the simultaneous failure of nearly all structural supports, which can only be done with explosives and/or cutting charges.

In emotionally healthy people, there is a point where you start saying no simply because of the sheer volume of demands being placed on you.

Most ordinary Americans, until recently, really didn’t GET just how fucking crazy the Left–and the Democrats who are now their party–are.  They haven’t understood that it is some new fucking imposition every day–which the skinny jeans love, because it is like new tech, and they are empty on the inside, which is why changing gender is as easy as changing clothes–and that it NEVER EVER STOPS.  The goal is not rectifying wrongs.  The goal is not improving the world.  There is no plan.  There are no ideas or vision.  It’s about assault, attack, destruction.  That’s all.

The thing about people who are mutable and tuned to the winds is that they can change on a dime.  All the people who have been hearing out the white kids running BLM could just start saying en masse: this is BULLSHIT.  If they say it in public, and start getting reinforcement, it is over for these people.

Obviously, they know this and fear this.  My local newspaper stopped allowing comments after I apparently said one too many things that made sense.  It’s a Gannett paper, and I looked: in other markets, comments are still allowed.  Just mine where they stopped, or at least as far as I know.

But even with censorship, even with campaigns of public villification, the tide is probably going to be too strong.  We are being told no at every corner.  No on going out to eat. No on movie theaters.  No on this, no on that. 

What I think most people really don’t want is MORE scolding.  Dear God no.

If I am personally robbed at gunpoint by a black person, I have more, MUCH more, cause to blame all black people, and to want to punish all black people, for that crime, than any living black people do for the crimes of white people who have been dead 150 years, and who only occupied a part of our country.

This should not need to be pointed out, but slavery was a Southern institution.  It did not exist everywhere.  This means not all whites participated in it.  And even in the South, only the 1% owned slaves.  The Civil War was fought as a big Fuck You to the North for telling the South how to live.

None of my ancestors participated in slavery.  None of them participated in Jim Crow.  Our story only starts after the Civil War in any event, and it starts in the North. 

By and large, my own forebears all lived in places which were largely white and where they did not interact in any way–positive or negative, as far as I know–with persons of color.

For me to blame all black people for the actions of one black person is execrable, even if I know that if I am going to be robbed at gunpoint, the chances that it will be a black male between the ages of 16 and 45 or so are much larger than that it will fit any other demographic.  Especially in the areas where there is a lot of crossover between the ghetto and the rest of the city, that holds true.

Blaming whole communities for the actions of the few is the definition of bigotry.  It is morally repugnant to me.  But obviously, I am neither blind nor stupid, as many seemingly expect me to be.

Personally, I DO watch certain types of black people more carefully.  I watch certain types of WHITE people more carefully too, and certain types of Hispanics, and, to my surprise a few months ago at a local market, Nepalese, many of whom looked like ghetto Pachucos.  Nepalese seem to have a certainly cultural affinity for Mexican style, at least around here.

But only academics still engage openly in true racism, which is assuming you know what you need to know about someone a priori because of the accidents of their births, about which they had no control.

Put another way, the only openly racist people still remaining in this country are the people who are accusing everyone else of racism.

Only academics hate entire races because of their skin color.  Only academics hate entire genders–to the extent they still believe in gender–because of their chromosomal inheritance.  Only academics still hate entire religions.

If we want to rid this country of hate, we need to muzzle or fire the most hateful people among us, which in the main is publicly funded, emotionally callow, intellectually weak members of our universities, and the politicians who march and rhyme to their discordant and ugly tunes.

You know, the survival gear people need most right now is ways of calming themselves, and seeing smiling faces that they trust.  And getting hugs.  Hugs are good.

This has been true for some time.  A happy society does not produce something bordering on 100,000 deaths of despair annually.

I continue my work.  I think I just found a new, fruitful and useful pathway.  If it is as good as I hope it is, I will post on it.

Never, never quit.  God smiles when you take one more step, even if it takes everything you have.  Always one more: one more step, one more day, one more try, one more effort at hope, even if you have nothing, even if hope just looks like a blank gray wall.

Heaven is still possible on this Earth.  None of us will be alone forever.

I say this as someone who really should have died of despair long, long ago.  I really don’t think there is anything anyone could be going through I don’t know intimately and on a long term basis.

You can still see people’s eyes.  This might be a good time to practice seeing them.

For me, I am going to use this time to try and remember what it feels like to see the sun, the rain, people as they are, and to appreciate this world.

When everyone is losing their mind, you need people going in the other direction.

Somewhere on the inter webs yesterday I defined BLM as white kids who hate black kids who want to be white kids.

Like all efforts at wit it omits realities, overshortens the story, and is a little bit of a lie.

But I would suggest that how TRUE it is should make all good people uneasy.

Grandma is not afraid of dying.  She is afraid she will never see her grandbabies again, because her fucking Governor prohibits it, and prohibits any policies which would make it possible in the next six months, during which she may well die of something else entirely.

We need to open up, at least those under 55, and do it now.  If Herd Immunity cannot be obtained, at least our individual immune systems will be maintained.  The longer we lock down, the more dangerous the common cold becomes.

And I wonder: do we carry permanent antibodies to the cold, or do we simply fight it off continually?  I suspect the latter.  And if that is the case, that is the only long term solution to COVID.

Thank you China.  Fucking assholes.  Although it may be us too.  It may be Fauci and others, as alleged.  This may be our virus, that they simply let loose.  It might be as reasonable to call this the Deep State Virus as the China or Wuhan Virus.

But we may never, ever be as safe again as we were. 

To this should be added, though, that Farr’s Law seems to apply to all epidemics.  They may come through repeatedly, but each one has a beginning, a crescendo, and an eventual end.  That is how it always works.  Even HIV was like that, although the curve crossed a decade or more.

I think, for a lot of people, seeing masks means, emotionally, that this disease will end soon, and that they are protected–although they don’t make this conscious, that they are protected from the fear which has enveloped all of us.

It is small wonder that no small number of people have fallen into zealotry.  It is irrational, factually and logically, but not emotionally.  Masks are their way out.  They are the way out for the society from this disease, and for them personally what allows them to walk out of their homes without feeling unreasoning terror from an enemy that may be absent everywhere, but which we can’t see, so it is impossible to know.

Just about everyone is scared.  This makes herd movements, like BLM, much easier to facilitate.  I don’t know how carefully and to what extent, say, the CIA might have planned these operations, but that they noticed that the climate was ripe for riots distracting from the effects of the lockdown seems obvious.

Lifting the fog will show the costs of the lockdowns.  It is like we are at a highwater mark, and as the tides fade, we will see what was concealed below.  I suspect it is a LOT of misery, most of it hidden in impoverished and desperate homes.

All of the Forgotten People have been particularly forgotten in all this.  Urban blacks could reasonably see BLM as something which speaks to them, but it really doesn’t.  If you look at the pictures, it is unemployed white people who are not trying to go back to work, and certainly not working to get the black community back to work.  Most of them seem to think that all of them can extort a living from the “government”, which is to say the rest of us.

And remember this is being done while all governments everywhere are under severe financial strain from all of this.

We will start to be able to see more clearly in a month or two.
