The Constitution and voter fraud

It occurs to me that I am equally disenfranchised if I am not allowed to vote AND if my vote is invalidated by an equal and fraudulently cast vote.

The difference is that many ways to vote legally exist, and quite obviously most of our mass media has been taking great pains on helping people navigate them.  But there is no legal means to prevent my vote being invalidated through fraud.  That I can’t do.  My government–the police and legal powers of my governments–have to do that for me.

Think of it this way: after blacks got the right to vote in the South, would it have made any difference if for every vote they cast for a Republican, a fraudulent vote was cast for the local Dixiecrat?  Not allowing voting, and allowing voter fraud, are practically equal.

It seems too much to hope for, but there would seem to be some cause, some valid legal, Constitutional cause, for the Supreme Court to weigh in.  Fraud amounts to a violation of the Equal Protection Clause, and perhaps other clauses as well.  It is a structural inequality, and an affront to the notion of equal justice.

And fraud is OBVIOUSLY happening.  It does not take good eyes to see lightning.

Idea on dealing with voter fraud

The foot soldiers are in general true believers, but I think many if them would feel a strong tug of moral ingenuity if Trump or the RNC offered a $10 million reward and a pardon for anyone who steps forward with evidence that they engaged in voter fraud. A dozen or so would suffice to render a next and new step necessary. That is a lot of money, but there is a LOT at stake.

Election Audits

I have been saying for a while now that elections need to be audited.  You need to take one randomly chosen county in each State and verify that all the ballots are valid, and do this in each election.

The Left says, in effect, “you have not PROVEN, yet, that we are cheating, so we must not be.”  But what form would that proof take?  Could or should it be stronger than locking out observers when the counting is happening for a closely contested election?  People showing up with suitcases full of God knows what–most likely fraudulent ballots–and waltzing straight into secured ballot rooms?

Most professional Accountants know their jobs.  They follow procedures and processes.  Most of the time, everything they do is fine.  But most companies have their books audited each and every year.  Why?  Fraud does happen.  Mistakes happen.  It helps to get a second set of eyes on the core of your business.

Elections are the soul of democracy.  Their integrity should be sacred.  If there is even a WHIFF of impropriety, we need to validate the whole process.

And the politics of this is obvious.  Democrats for many years have been the cheaters.  There was probably a time long ago when Republicans cheated too, but there has been no reason to think that has been going on for 60 years or more.  I would think it would have been more like in the 20’s in city and State elections, to counter the Tammany Hall’s of our country.

My vote is that any group of counters who won’t allow inspection and surveillance, should have their whole crop of ballots declared for the person they are obviously working against, in this case Donald Trump.  If we did that in a couple of elections, they would straighten up and fly right.

As things stand, if fraud on this scale is allowed, why would it not be larger next time?  Why would it not become a regular feature of our electoral landscape?  I can’t see why it would not, and self evidently we have NO WAY OF KNOWING IF THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MANY YEARS.

Again: we need to hire accounting firms to go through and validate small randomly chosen samples for EVERY Election, and we need more careful validation when there is suspected–fairly open would be the words I would use–fraud, as in Milwaukee and Detroit.

To do less is to over some time period risk violence.  With Trump our future is good.  With Biden, we are looking at masks and economic decline.  If Biden is declared the winner, I literally expect several projects I have been anticipating to cancel.  Companies will start holding on to their money again.  The confidence will be gone.  At this time, after this 7-8 month assault on our economy, that would and will be devastating.  At some point, the guns will come out.  It is inevitable.

 1. I have often observed that people wearing masks cannot understand each other.  The masks muffle their voices and inhibit proper enunciation.  Their solution?  Getting closer together, and not infrequently pulling the mask down to speak.

2. Humidifiers more or less drop viruses out of the air.  They are a cheap and easy way to reduce the spread, particularly, of aerosolized particles.  Have you heard this?  Six months in?  I had not until the other day.  It was on the Frontline Doctors talk on masks.

3. I think I shared this already, but here is the United States “curve”: https://covid19.who.int/region/amro/country/us

What you see is what I think was intended, which is a never ending series of waves, sufficient to create panic and induce fear, but none in themselves that large.  And we now long know that much of that is deaths that have nothing, or functionally nothing, to do with COVID-19.

4. We stand a good chance of inaugurating as President a senile, psychopathic traitor, who literally took money from the  Chinese for policy favorable to them.  They may well have helped him get elected, if in fact he does get declared the winner, all the massive evidence of cheating notwithstanding.

What I said of Barack Obama holds doubly true of Joe Biden.  We knew nothing about Obama.  We know EVERYTHING about Biden.  He is a stereotype of the glad handing hack for sale to everyone with a few dollars to rub together.  He is a Machine politician assembled at General Casting.  He has taken bribes for any number of countries around the world, some of them our enemies, or at least rivals.

My vote is that Trump does whatever it takes to stay in office.  Our Republic cannot take much more of this beating.  We already know that the CIA and FBI are corrupt and in effect acting as the allies of aspiring authoritarians.  Without knowing the details, we know there is some profoundly sick stuff going on with the elites, and that most of THEM are psychopaths too.

5. I shout at the wind.

6. I shout at the wind, but the wind does not hear.

7. My challenge is to live with all of this, to relax, to be happy, to do my duty as I see fit, and to try and grow spiritually every day.

Spirituality

Spirituality is applied savoir vivre.  No good life can or does exist without laughter, calm, love, courage, fidelity, and awareness, among other virtues.

If these are the end times, let’s make the best of them.

The news cycle

Is being addicted to media not something close to functional hypervigilance?  If I am clicking every five minutes to check, to check, to check, is that not functional OCD?

This world may spin out of control, and that spinning out of control could easily take the form of the world becoming a gigantic prison.  Centralized authority is less orderly than formal Complexity.  It subtracts as much information as possible.  That is its nature.

But if we survive with goodness intact, with working hearts in addition to the adding machines on our shoulders, then we will come to view all of this as madness.

History has seen wave after wave after wave of madness.  Christianity, as it was deployed historically by the Church, is madness.  Low fat diets are madness.  Lockdowns and masks are madness.

History has seen a few people, here and there, who made a difference; and in their own times, most of them were hated.

No matter what happens, I think I am going to walk away from this continual storm.  I think I have developed the resources emotionally to do it, finally.

Today’s reflection

Oddly enough, I feel relatively tranquil.  I think I have accepted that Biden may win, and that a whole host of unnecessary, bad things will follow.

My task is to build tranquility in all circumstances.  Equanimity is, perhaps, the beginning of all lasting blessings.

The world is the world, and it is out there, and operating by its own laws.  It is not under my control, but if I harness myself, my happiness, my peace of mind, to its restlessness and continual change, then there is nothing left of me.  I need a divorce from concerns about people and places I can’t see and can’t touch.

10%

It occurred to me that I would be much happier if I went 10% slower.  You can stay on track, and get a lot done, but 10% loosens you, and frees you up for moments of new perception and reflection.

It is the affective equivalent of keeping your mouth slightly open when meditating and your tongue on the roof of your mouth behind your teeth.  This may have the subtle energetic benefit ascribed to it, but it certainly makes it impossible to clench your jaw.

Go slow.  Or at least slower.  Unless there is something truly important going on.

General link on America’s Frontline Doctors

 https://www.americasfrontlinedoctors.com/summit2/

And I will note that many of these doctors have in fact been in the “front lines” in the battle against COVID-19, but that ALL of them are in the front lines in the battle–which is in my view the more important battle–for truth and effective, intelligent policy.

Excellent video on mask wearing

 https://banned.video/watch?id=5f9f56fcf2aba40f0a83d61d

In one study people wearing masks were 13x more likely to get infected.  They don’t know why.

But the whole thing is worth the watch.
