Open invitation to Glenn Beck critics

Pick a Glenn Beck show, any show. Tell me what is wrong with it. We will then look at it together, and determine 1) how many facts were presented; 2) how many of those facts were accurate, to the degree of reasonable doubt; and 3) how many remain which you can present credible reason to fault as wrong.

Self evidently, my contention is that most of his critics are, in effect taking a statement from him in which he says 2+2=Four, and shouting WRONG, 2+2=4. He is a hypocrite. He is a liar. How can he say this?

What I have ALWAYS found with leftists is that they NEVER fully contextualize their statements. They sift through days and days of statements, to find a few which they can intentionally misrepresent and misconstrue.

But those are decontextualized generalities, aren’t they? Point away, leftists, and if you are right that he is always wrong, hell that’s just a roll downhill, and there’s nothing I can say about it, right?

I have several show segments criticized at length. We should be able to have interesting arguments beginning with the false notion that you're "moderate." Beck is extremist. He even says so. Moderates and Beck are like water and oil.

See: http://www.sharethisurlaboutglennbeck.com/2010/07/what-is-truth-about-glenn-beck.html which you may agree with and this: http://www.sharethisurlaboutglennbeck.com/2011/01/glenn-becks-pledge-of-nonviolence.html Beck said something amazingly stupid to Veierra.

Find me an actual segment we can watch. They are scattered throughout his site and on YouTube. Something in the five to ten minute range.

Neither of those links is contextualized.

I will ask you, though: where is your own statement of non-violence? Within the last several weeks Beck issued the call for non-violence. You, in the meantime, have countenanced people calling him a psychopath and comparing him to Charles Manson.

Surely you should tone down your own rhetoric?

If someone shoots him, will you accept responsibility? You are more or less labeling him an evil person, and someone towards whom all people should feel great hatred.

Is this your version of moderation?

He rushed in, then rushed right out. I had intended to ask him to define reason. I don't think he can do it without opening himself to criticisms that could be made by 5th graders. He rejects the most basic of criteria, such as consistency of method. This is endemic to leftists. If they were sincere or intelligent, they would realize the corruption and evil their creed brings with it, necessarily.

What I do intend to do is address the Media Matters Top 15 errors of Glenn Beck. In terms of the actual content, it is a matter of pedantic interest. These mouth breathing fools have no interest in rational discussion, so they will just move on to another Top 15; or pretend not to understand my critiques.

What will be interesting and useful, though, is using that as a means of showing the METHOD of leftists.

Glenn Beck is on nightly, roughly. In each show he offers up, say, 25 unique, testable facts. Upon scrutiny, let us say 22 of those facts are simply indisputable, and three COULD, if one wanted, be questioned.

What these people do is take those three, represent them as TYPICAL, do everything they can to twist them out of context, then use that as a starting point for a propaganda of personalizatoin and demonization. It's an old pattern, that goes back far past Lenin, although he is the one who perfected it in its modern iteration. All Alinsky did was translate Lenin into terms that were idiomatic to the 50's and sufficiently non-overtly-Marxist that it was not patently farcical for him to claim, as needed, that he wasn't actually trying to overthrow our Constitutional Republican form of government.

I have many projects, and run short of time, but I've long intended a piece on leftist propaganda methods. It will happen sooner or later.
