As I understand the matter, if you or I took a form–let’s say my birth certificate, which I have in my personal possession (actually, I thought I had lost it at one point, and was easily able to get a copy from the State I was born in)–and scanned it, there would be one layer. It would be a simple document.
Obama’s supposed birth certificate has nine layers. In one of them, something impossible for humans happens: perfection. Here is the treatment of the topic.
As I have been at pains often to point out, my concern with this issue is not primarily politically. If Congressional or other investigators are not able to find it to be fraud conclusively, it might well hurt Republicans.
My primary concern is with morality and following truth telling. And I am not talking about Obama telling us the truth. Manifestly, he is a calculating and utterly cynical liar, who doesn’t even CARE what the truth is. Whatever serves his purposes always works best for him. That was the essence of the Alinskyan creed he lived and taught.
What matters is that the American people tell ourselves the truth, and more importantly, that our supposed “leaders” demonstrate that they actually adhere to the best, most noble traditions of our nation. We have produced some damn fine people. That is why we are the most powerful nation on Earth.
So why put up with a patent lie? Why not at least investigate whether or not our President, for naked political purposes, committed an impeachable act of fraud? Why not? Are you mental defectives or simple cowards? Or do you simply not hold principles in high esteem any more, and therefore relate to Obama’s cynicism in very ugly and politically pragmatic ways?

You're confusing the scan vs. the program used to open it. A program like Adobe Illustrator will try to separate things it thinks are separate layers into those separate layers, which is what happened here.

With regard to the 'mathematical proof', the author hasn't made a case for anything. Looking at Exhibit 3, the horizontal lines align to the bottom edge of pixels. That's it. Notice that the lines he's drawn cut through the hand-written letters (the gradient of dark to light). So, the letters aren't precisely aligned, the pixels are.
OK. As a start, how about this is released as a .tif file? As something consistent with something other than a foundational contempt for American people, transparency, and the rule of law, how about he releases the actual original? Please don't give me any BS about Hawaiian law. This is a matter concerning the United States as a whole, and surely if we can empower federal agents to massage our testicles, we can authorize something that would STAND IN COURT.
As far as the pixels, they sure seem to me to be perfectly aligned. If you look at where the letters end, they are at the same level, precisely.
But why trust this to us amateurs? How about we empower professional to testify about this to Congress? If there's nothing to hide, there's nothing to fear, correct? Except embarassment for the Republicans? All good for you, right?
NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING Obama has released could be used in a court of law, at least as I understand the matter.

Again, why can't we conduct an actual inquiry, and do what Congress is SUPPOSED to do according to the Constitutional, which is to provide checks and balances to the Executive Branch, which would include–as indicated directly by their power to impeach and remove the President from office–the right to verify his compliance with the laws he is sworn to uphold, first and foremost those of our foundational legal document, the Constitution of the United States.
