I think the simplest way for Trump to deal with Seattle is to do nothing.

He can just put out the simple proposition:

America, if this is what you want, then you can have it.  Just vote Joe Biden.  Washington has a Governor, and Seattle has a Mayor.  Both were elected. And if what is happening is what Seattle and Washington want, then they will be reelected.  If not, then they won’t, and sooner or later they will figure it out, and take action to increase their chances at reelection.

If you want law, common sense, and a grounding in American tradition, vote for me.  If you want lawlessness, endless pandering, financial ruin, and to be locked in your home for good chunks of the rest of your life, vote for Joe Biden.  He can be counted on to get that done for you.

Violence right now serves the leftist cause.  Watching these idiots destroy everything they touch, that helps Trump.

Think about it: half of those kids probably don’t know how to use can openers.  Half of them were probably playing video games ten hours a day as recently as a month ago.

Now they are all milling around with their phones, congratulating themselves on how cool they are.

Let them soak in their own juices.  Let them figure out how to feed themselves, where to shit, where to sleep.

And here is an off the wall idea: treat any people who feel oppressed by their new “liberators” as refugees and pay for them to relocate to another State.  That is good optics for us, bad optics for them.  Or so it feels on first pass.  I would need to ponder that one a bit more.

But the Left is sure putting on one hell of a show, aren’t they?  Do YOU think they are winning friends and influencing people?  I don’t think so.  They have a sycophantic media, but that media is getting farther and farther from relevance where the formation of American ideas and perceptions is concerned. 

Nobody can justify this idiocy, this lunacy.  Let it be on TV.  Let it last a month, two months.  Sow an agent or two in the mix and try and get them on TV with a sign that says “This is Biden Country”.

Ju jitsu.  The Art of Allowing.

My two cents at this moment.  I may change my mind.  I do that.

I was thinking about how Democrats have failed the black community.  Think about this: as a friend, would it not make more sense for you to help someone become better as a person, as a worker, than to try and engineer a system which in theory promises rewards without effort?

Would you not, as a compassionate, caring person looking to the future, want to do everything possible to engineer the best schooling, the most social support for parenting and child care, and the best ideas and practices for young mothers?

Looking at those who have arrogated to themselves the right and the pulpit to speak for black people, they would, most of them, rather deny the value of integrity and hard work outright, than admit that the system actually exists to re-enslave blacks, and to keep them perpetually dependent.

Those social programs, which sort of kind of but not really help?  They exist in order that a threat can be made that they will be taken away.  Better vote for me, or that program will disappear.  They are tethers, tying the people who use blacks, with blacks who continue to trust the wrong people out of some combination of desperation, laziness, ignorance and fear.

But look at the “leader”.  They are quite willing to deny all the moral values of our civilization.  They do not value truth, honor, dignity, hard work, sacrifice, or any other of the things that built America and every other successful nation.

So the question has to be asked: if they are not motivated by morality, then why are they trying to claim they care about blacks?

Then the circle closes, and you realize it is all about THEM, about the “leaders”, about the psychopaths who will say and do whatever they need to to keep control.

But for many of them–take your average Berkeley professor of something useless–there is a superficial layer of honesty and seeming sincerity.  They believe that they believe what they say they do, even if their long term actions betray the fallacy of that belief.

Unprocessed gut emotional energy is really, for all intents and purposes, the “Shadow” of Jung and others.

And this energy LOVES to hide in the process of abstraction.  The details don’t matter.  You can be on one side or the other.  It makes no difference.  The point is living in your head to consciously escape your inner ugliness, greed, hate, and latent violence.

Many, many of these people are only too happy to do the work to become full time “abstractors”.

And I would differentiate in this regard useful sciences from most of the Humanities.  In the sciences, the abstraction serves a PURPOSE.  E=MC2 allows you the built a nuclear bomb, or harness nuclear energy.

In the Humanities however the abstraction is autotelic (to use Csikzentmihalyi’s term): it is it own goal.  The abstraction is the purpose.  This is the core reality.  And the purpose beneath the purpose is hiding from the individual and the world their inner ugliness, their shadow.

But emotionally this makes little sense, particularly for people who want to feel like they MATTER.  So they apply autotelic abstraction to real world problems.  The goal is not to solve problems–it remains a fundamentally self absorbed and narcissistic activity–but it does produce many, many pronouncements on how to THINK about problems, which they view as tantamount to a solution.

Thus, even highly intelligent people in any other context are willing to jettison everything they supposedly believe about decency and morality in the pursuit of aims which are articulated as being in the name of decency and morality.  You can kill people to stop murder.  Loot to stop theft.  Torture to stop torture.  Etc.

It’s all an emotional illness, a shell game, a front, a ruse, a lie, told by sick people to themselves and anyone stupid enough to listen to them.

Don’t buy it.  Nobody should get to fuck up for fifty years then claim that THIS TIME IT WILL BE DIFFERENT.

Seattle?  Democrat Mayor, Democrat Governor.  Minneapolis?  Same.

Don’t let them fool you.  Don’t let them rattle you.  Cling to the truth.  Satyagraha.

Edit: one last point: it is very important to this process to never actually SOLVE the problems.  Look at Cuba.  If Communism worked, Cuba would work.  They’ve had control for 60 years.  But Cuba is a poor nation, an unfree nation, and a place where the basic dignities of life–like the ability to speak your mind–are denied, under pain of torture and presumably sometimes even now death.  They have universal education, but only in order to provide a conduit for propaganda.  They use their doctors as slaves to make money for the State.  Their “universal health care” is inferior to the worst care received in the worst hospitals in the US, for all but their own 1%.

But EVEN NOW, even in 2020, I have absolutely zero doubt that Raoul Castro and his henchmen continue to blame all their problems on the US, and Capitalism generally.  In a way, they NEED us, they need us as a straw man villain, they need us as a scapegoat.

Leftists both always need failure, and always manage to rationalize it.  The two go in tandem.

And changing the use of language changes the use of language.

It is dawning on me that there is going to be a staggering psychological cost to this whole government imposed work stoppage.  This will become clear in coming months.  Right now, much of the world is still shut down.  Our governments are still pretending, to the best of their ability, that this disease continues to represent a threat.

But the thing is too large, the cost too high.  It cannot be ignored, cannot be rationalized, and should not in my view be forgiven.

All of us need to punish in the voting booths and in public forums the architects of this idiocy.

And to be clear, I don’t blame Trump.  He relied on someone who should have known what he was talking about, who has been doing what he does for four decades, and as soon as Trump realized Fauci & Co. were full of shit, he started contradicting him.

Here is the thing: if Joe Biden had been President, we would all STILL be shut down.  The whole country would still look like California.

But the thaw is coming from this deep freeze.  People are going to come out of their numbness, shake their heads, and start asking “what the hell just happened?”

I don’t think that will be a good time to be a Democrat.

And all these fireworks going on right now, they have a limited shelf life.  If the agitators can’t start a race war–and I really don’t think anyone who might be involved in the fighting wants that–then the people they just abused and manipulated might well start asking questions themselves.

My feeling for a few weeks has been that processes have been set in motion that cannot be stopped, and which I feel will work to the benefit of humankind.  My feeling has been that there is no need for me to blog.  Whatever good I may have accomplished, it is done, at least for now.

I have two main bars, and went to check on the second tonight.  One of the women there I’ve known for a while.  She PERSONALLY knows four people who have overdosed and died during this whole government mandated shit show.  One women passed out on her baby and both died. 

Tragedy, right?  No, of course not, you fucking tool.  That’s not the Party line.  If you feel the need to start thinking, don’t.

She also said she knows an EMT, and the suicides are like nothing he has ever seen.  I would suspect that, in absolute numbers, we will see more death from suicide and drug overdose ALONE than died in the COVID-19 thing.

I will wonder in print if we will get accurate numbers on overdoses, addiction relapses, and suicides before November.

I will also wonder if and when we will get numbers on the thing that are actually about right, according to honest, competent people.  We are presently far from that.

Her present situation is that her kids go to a private school, and the school wants payment, but our fucking Democrat Governor won’t say what the plan is yet for the Fall.

Countless problems out there.  Almost none of them dealt with honestly by Democrats.  Nor, for that matter, by Republicans, but at least we aren’t preventing their solution.  That is the difference.  We let you take care of your own problems.  Democrats promise to take care of them for you, then fuck up, every time, then make it so you can’t solve them either.

I am a highly imaginative person, but I will never be so imaginative that I can see any way that any Democrats today can be construed as honest humanitarians, or principled, caring people, on even the most generous, myopic assessment.

Therapists are seeing and will continue to see all sorts of weird and unhealthy psychological manifestations around mask wearing and physical distancing. Obsessions, anxieties, phobias, and weird sexual fantasies, among others.

This whole thing has left—is leaving—a mark I would argue is a scar on our collective psyche.

What the Left really really really wants–what they would be praying for if they were not by and large drooling rhetorical acolytes of the Flying Spaghetti Monster–is for redneck white people to start shooting random black people.  This is the goal.  This would be heaven for them.  This would be a propaganda Godsend, the most they could hope for.  They can run with that 24/7 from now until the election.

So don’t do it.

The nature of this particular game is that our side–the side of sanity, restraint, community mindedness, integrity and genuine decency–has a much harder position to play.  We are dealing with amoral psychopaths whose main goal is to drive us insane with emotional, physical, and intellectual violence (there is violence to established norms inherent in the complete abandonment of principle and moral coherence) then use our reactions, combined with their lies, to trick stupid people into supporting them.  That is the game.

We live in the freest, most prosperous, most just nation in the history of the world.  And with their lies, they have convinced large swathes of the population that they live in hell.

It is true than many Americans lack meaningful connections with one another.  But this would happen, naturally, with no extra effort, if we were not being divided continually.  But the sirens and horns are blaring non-stop everywhere.  People get scared.  They pause in their outreach, they wonder if they really CAN trust their neighbor.  Maybe they are a serial killer.  After all, the world shown in the 8 hours of daily television most Americans watch is a dark, dangerous place where your best friend is liable to betray you at the worst possible moment.

The real enemies of decency and true progress are people like the Umbrella Man, who is allegedly a cop with the Minneapolis police force.  Watch this video, which I may or may not have posted here:

When I searched the term, the first two websites which had had video, had had the video removed.

If you are not freaking out a bit, you have no brain.

But if this guy does not look like a textbook Agent Provocateur I’m a fucking Democrat.

THESE GUYS are the enemies.  Later in the same video, some guy talks about military or cop looking guys on motorcycles trying to talk him into breaking into the Mall of America.  This sounds plausible to me.  Why not, after you see that video of the guy using the umbrella to hide his identity, after breaking windows in a building he had no intention of entering, and which he clearly did not break in anger?

These guys, and the people sitting in 20 million dollar mansions (or whatever floats their boat, which might also be a 20 or 50 million dollar yacht, which actually might make more sense) and pushing the buttons and paying the cash transfers, are the enemies.

Black people are pawns in all this.  Yes, some small minority of them is very violent, but keep in mind those same people have been preying on other black people probably all their lives.  George Floyd did four years for breaking into a pregnant woman’s home, pointing a gun at her belly, and ransacking her home with 3-4 other guys, after which he drove the getaway car.  She was black, of course.  Most victims of black psychopaths are black.

White people don’t care.  Protests are a vacation, not a serious commitment to understanding, much less actual measurable improvement.

Keep your cool.  Arm yourself if you feel the need, but keep your cool.  Don’t give the bastards food and ammunition.

The overarching challenge Trump has it trying to fix the blame for ALL THIS where it belongs: at the feet of the radical Left, and the people paying them, pushing them, and who want the power they think these idiots can deliver.

It’s a big task.  But the facts seem clear enough: we were played, as Tucker Carlson put it.  And those AgitProp efforts continue.  They are happening right now on most cable news outlets.

Trump needs people to understand that the “invisible enemy” is in the gates, that they walk among us, with smiling faces, seemingly caring hearts, and that they are calling for “justice”.

I am strongly tempted to call them Wicker People, or children of the sacrifice.  Much of this is very old. Any individual unwilling to lose their own ego must take the life of someone else.  Any group of such people must make this process routine, lest they face seeing their own madness.

Much of this, I feel–and this is a sudden sentiment falling on me–was old ten thousand years ago.  The choice all humans have to make sooner or later is if they want to be animals, or angels.

There are, I feel, heavens.  And there are hells.  None of us are truly ignorant of the basics.  No one is born with no knowledge at all.

All of this: this is my own Chod, of sorts.  I eat myself with my own doubts.  Seeing this is liberating.

I will add something I felt in this mornings meditation: desire and repulsion are closely related, as are knowledge and ignorance, which might usefully be framed the rejection of knowledge.

With both desire and repulsion, there is a lasting connection, which makes you less free.  There is an energetic tether, which is always pulling or pushing.  And knowing is increasing awareness, and ignorance is closely related to ignoring, or choosing to reduce awareness.

What is left when desire, repulsion and ignorance are abandoned is pure free, liberated awareness.  This is a cliche, of course, but I felt it more clearly than usual.

Oh, I need to put a pause on all this writing.

Terrible, terrible things are possible.  So too are great things.  We shall see.

Tucker Carlson, summarizing the lunacy of this time period, of the lockdowns.  I’ve been saying all this for a while, but I have to say he is good at what he does.  I like how he phrases things, often.

And it occurs to me to comment that the magic trick, the real magic trick, that Trump needs to perform is driving a wedge between the black people who were just revictimized by white radicals, the same way they were back in the 60’s, and have been ever since, and the radicals themselves.

He needs to find a way for black people to SEE en masse, how they are being manipulated, how their just demands are being used, not only to pursue ends which have nothing to do with them, but which in nearly all cases HURT them.

Psychologically healthy people don’t really have any frame through which to see psychic vampires, people who suck the life out of you while pretending to be your friend.

For better and worse, I suppose, I have a lot of experience with this.

Put another way, Trump needs to find a way to connect those who “smile in your face” with the Democrats who have so hurt and abused the black community for so long.

What is ironic and infuriating about all this is that IT WAS WHITE PEOPLE THAT TAUGHT THEM THIS.

The riots of the 1960’s were inspired by white people, just like the recent ones, which are looking to do more or less the same thing those did, which is inspire white flight, lost jobs, blighted neighborhoods, and more poverty and pain, none of it suffered by the people who instigated it, who will long since have moved on.

Those same white people bent over backwards to teach black people that it wasn’t their fault they were poor, and that they didn’t and couldn’t do anything on their own to make it better.  It was the “system’s” fault, and the only fix was to trust white leftists with their vote, until they could make it better for them.  “Voting for us will be just like winning the lottery”, they were taught.  You don’t need no damned books, or book learnin’. 

There is no precedent in black history for the denigration of education until white Communists started agitating in black communities .  All of the slaves, who had been forbidden–sometimes on pain of death–from learning how to read, sought out education the moment they were freed.  This is when schools like Howard University and Morehead College were founded.

It is really not too general a principle, I don’t think, to state that with respect to substantially ALL the actual, real (not invented) problems in our country, it is the Communists fault.  Their agents worked to build and use racial divisions.  They taught blacks self defeating behaviors, which allowed them both to claim to work on their behalf and simultaneously to know that their outcomes would be unchanged decade after decade.

Even now, Democrats–who black people have been voting for since the late 1960’s or so–are trying to blame Republicans for problems in places THEY HAVE CONTROLLED FOR 50 YEARS.

I repeat: these people are masters of illusion.  They are the Royalty of Lies.

And they will attack Barkley, as sure as night follows day, as sure as dark follows light in any place they exist.
