The first liberation

We all live in a fallen world.  It is a daily struggle for all of us to remember that something much better is possible, and of course many have given up that struggle, choosing instead a delusion which has been made easy for them in lieu of a much harder, and much more ambiguous truth.

We all participate in the continuation and daily recreation of this world.  We can’t help it.  You can’t do otherwise, until you have at least one foot in something different, which is the essence of the spiritual task.

The first step of the spiritual path is realizing you are insane, that everything, or nearly everything, you were taught as true is at best only partly true, and that nearly everyone is speaking about things they don’t really understand.  As one obvious example, when I hear someone talk about compassion, I assume that some part of them is cruel and mean.  This is not always true, of course.  Good people do walk among us.  But I would say it is nearly ALWAY true when the speaker is a political leader of some sort.

So the first liberation is realizing you are surrounded by complacent lunatics, who are overlooking nearly everything that would make logical sense, given our situation on Earth.  Nearly everything most people value is worthless.

The second liberation is finding a way to become getting a little bit less insane every day.   I think this process continues indefinitely, although there is a period where life eventually starts to feel good.

Black folks

Ordinary black people in this country are going to have to wrest “the Narrative” away from white radicals, or they will be destroyed completely.

As is always true of the demons behind this political horror film, the truth of the situation is the precise opposite of the picture being painted.  This is WHY it can’t be discussed.  This is why anyone who tries to discuss it–white or black–is bullied and marginalized and threatened.

https://www.infowars.com/african-american-family-of-woman-who-portrayed-aunt-jemima-we-do-not-want-that-history-erased/

Here is the thing: most of the people talking about racism, and using it as a cudgel, are white.  They don’t care about blacks and by and large they don’t UNDERSTAND blacks.  They don’t need to.  Nothing they do is intended to do anything but create tools for them to punish and marginalize everyone who opposes their Communist agenda, which in the end will hurt blacks at least as much as anyone else, and which is currently–in the forms of riots that destroy their neighborhoods, policies which prevent the solutions to real problems like poor schools, and very, very importantly in terms of the labor lockouts they support so enthusiastically–hurting blacks disproportionately.  Much more of that sort of “compassion” and it will slide into overt genocide.

“Vera Harris, who is the family historian for the Richard family of Hawkins and Lillian’s second cousin, said the move to erase Aunt Jemima is an insult to Lillian Richard’s legacy.
“A lot of people want it removed. We want the world to know that our cousin Lillian was one of the Aunt Jemima’s and she made an honest living. We would ask that you reconsider just wiping all that away,” she told KLTV.
“She was considered a hero in Hawkins, and we are proud of that. We do not want that history erased,” Harris added.
According to Harris, Richard “made an honest living out of it for a number of years” by touring around Texas during a time when it was difficult for black women to get jobs.
She also voiced her opposition to the more widespread attempt to erase history, which has manifested itself in the removal of statues since Black Lives Matter protests were re-ignited last month.
“I wish we would take a breath and not just get rid of everything. because good or bad, it is our history. Removing that wipes away a part of me. A part of each of us. We are proud of our cousin,” Harris said.
She also expressed her opposition to the renaming of military bases because many of her relatives are veterans.”

Good talk on how Communism and long term black failure are connected

https://youtu.be/9O1fz3Sa5Wk

He said back in 1969 that the Communists want a race war, and don’t care how they get it.  It seems obvious to me at least that this is what they are trying at this very moment to generate.

Ponder people who use such means, to achieve ends which are themselves based on lies.

COVID-19

I really don’t get the people who are still scared.  I was out at a bar last night, and some guy said his friend was afraid to meet him because it was “too early.”  Unbelievable.

Around here, many restaurants are allowing even their workers to ignore the mask rule, and even though they are common in supermarkets, more and more people are ignoring this ridiculous protocol.

But do this: wherever you live, figure out how people die annually, divide it by 12, and then compare it to the COVID numbers.  If you are still scared, you are an idiot.

Take Texas.  183,000 people died there in 2014.  That’s 15,250 a month.

2,182 people have died thus from COVID-19.  Texas has about 29 million residents, so that works out to about 1 person in 13,000.  Nationally, about 1 in 113 people, I think it is, will die in any given year.  Do you think 2,182 deaths over three months would even be visible on an annual graph showing deaths from all causes?  I don’t.

And even the 2,182 number is likely misleading.  EVEN IF everyone in that number died OF COVID-19, and not WITH COVID-19–which is clearly not a safe thing to assume, given how politicized all this has become (ponder that, you government trusters: public health numbers, being used to sway voters)–the global pattern is clear: by and large it kills the elderly and already sick.  It seems about half the people who die from COVID-19 were going to die of something else soon anyway, so those numbers really shouldn’t be counted, since this disease is not taking too many years off of those lives.  It would be people under 60 or so dying that matter the most, and particularly young people dying, which they are not at all.

Here is the CDC Table, which we can VERY safely assume has been massaged.  Of the listed 103,339 deaths, 95,733 of them were over the age of 55, which is a few years past the age you can qualify for AARP.  That works out to not quite 93% of the death.

So of the 2,182 dead in Texas, if statistics hold there, 2,030 were over the age of 55.

But there remain government bureaucrats telling people they can’t work, and can’t stand next to each other, or go out in public without a facial covering that does nothing.

Unbelievable.  The whole thing boggles my mind.  It’s not even the fact that the government did this to us–which is bad enough–but that ANY Americans are so stupid that they can’t understand they are being played for fools.

But many of us ARE fools, no?

Masks

I had a run-in this morning with one of the Pod People Karens. She managed to put at least four people in foul moods, over nothing.

I am going to share some insights that are mind numbingly obvious, but overlooked by our media.

Insight number 1: IF YOU ARE NOT SICK YOU CANNOT INFECT ANYONE.

Insight number 2: IF YOU ARE NOT COUGHING AND SNEEZING NO AIRBORNE TRANSMISSION CAN TAKE PLACE. Your mucus and blood stay in you, unless you are sharing needles or something.  “Experts” say they are unsure of asymptomatic people can spread this, but as I discussed in a previous post, how WOULD they?  Absent coughing and unsanitized virus carrying hands, how COULD the virus be transmitted?  It’s not breathing.  I don’t think anyone has even tried to claim that.

Insight number 3: IF YOU ARE NOT COUGHING OR SNEEZING AND NO ONE AROUND YOU IS COUGHING AND SNEEZING, NO AIRBORNE DISEASE TRANSMISSION IS POSSIBLE.  Danger has warning signs.

Insight 4: if nobody in the room is sick, then no disease transmission whatever is possible. This applies even more strongly when you are alone.
Comment: The only place masks seem to make a difference is when an infected, coughing person is in sustained close proximity to someone who is not infected.  Basically, small offices and homes and medical settings.

With respect to offices, people who are sick should not be there.  If they come in anyway, they should get sent home.  No one disputes this.

Masks make sense for people whose job is work with infected people, often in close proximity, each and every day of their work week, as in healthcare.  This is obvious.
But for ordinary people, a strong case can be made that the home is the only place where masks DO make sense.  Put them on when you get home if someone in your family is sick, and take it off when you leave.
If you think about it, most of the places where COVID hit hard, like Italy, Wuhan and New York, the rulers of those places dictated everyone stay home.  Given that manifestly some percentage of them were sick, this was the WORST possible solution.  It would have made more sense telling people to sleep in the street or local parks, especially younger, healthier people.
And I think it was often the case–particularly in China and Italy–that the elderly lived at home.  Telling people they could not go out on the street worked out to a death sentence for many of them.  The younger people otherwise would have been gone often, and the health of everyone suffered from the sustained confinement.
So literally, the streets in all those cities should have been full of people not wearing masks, who only put them on when they got home, after washing their hands.  The death toll could easily have been half what it was, I suspect, without paying more than a small fraction of the economic and political costs we can’t even yet begin to tally, but which we know will be enormous and without precedent.

Concluding claim: masks worn in public are anxiety reducing psychological placebos which create an illusion of safety where in most cases no objective danger existed in the first place. Their use outside medical settings is stupid, and seems to be demanded for political and not honest public health reasons.

And I will say that asking me to put a nettle in my underwear would also not be that major an imposition. But it WOULD be an imposition, and if it makes no sense, asking me to just do it to make everyone else happy is really a violence to my right to determine how I want to live my life.

The Brown Person Fallacy

I have often stipulated as a general rule that the Left is guilty of whatever they accuse us of.  It is certainly true where issues of race are concerned.

I was thinking about racism yesterday.  You can’t avoid the topic, although it is manifestly easy and common to fail to think intelligently about it.

Racism, itself, is just a form of tribalism.  It is as old as humanity.  You attack the clan over the hill because you want their women and food and they are not you.  Chimpanzees do no less.

Arabs conquerors started the African slave trade in the 7th century, but it is clear it dates back much further.

Warfare based on ethnic or cultural difference has been endemic to the human condition since long before recorded history, which indeed began with an account of a war.  If you find a large area without warfare for any sustained period of time, what you are most likely looking at is an empire, where one group has conquered a number of other groups, and established a set of rules everyone has to live by, enforced by what we might call “internal soldiers”, which is to say police, and what we might call “negotiated warfare”, in which a massively superior enemy–the State–grants to the person who might want to wage war on their rules access to the weapon of reason, and grants victory where that weapon is used successfully according to the rules.

In a properly–as I see it, and as nearly everyone who is not a lunatic sees it–constituted legal system, individuals stand trial for their own crimes.  No one is made to stand in for the crimes of someone else.

When groups are punished for some crime–say the assassination of some official or other–then that is warfare.  It is different from a legal process.  It is understood by all to be necessarily imprecise, and inferior to a judicial proceeding.  There is less information, less thought.

It is not overstating the case to say that our system of internal peace, of internal justice, depends on the notion that because only individual hands commit crimes, only individuals, as such, should be made to stand for crimes.  You don’t see five people tried together.  You see each of the five tried individually, even if they were together when the crime was committed.  This process captures subtle nuances of complicity and evidence.

Our system rests on the individual as the only possible locus both of action and perception.  “Societies” do not think.  Individuals within societies think.  Societies do not do things.  Individual people within societies do things.  In systems run according to Leftist AntiThink, there is usually a dictator who is not called a dictator, and an oligarchy that is not called an oligarchy.  1% of the people make 100% of the decisions that matter, and do so with no accountability, or felt moral need to protect the mass of people to any greater extent than that needed to avoid an open rebellion that is larger than their police forces can handle.

Racism, per se, is in this sense a radical Anti-Individualism.  It is based on the claim that all members of any given group, however defined, can be viewed through the same lens.  If the group is considered wicked (to be clear, by any given individual), then any random member of that group can be assumed to be wicked.  If the group is considered good, then all members are good.  The two cannot co-exist.  The group is considered monolithic and largely static.

Johannes Fabian (ironically, no doubt, as I will show) describes this process in his book “Time and the Other”:

The anthropologist’s Other is not a partner in dialogue but an individual who the anthropologist observes. In different ways anthropological discourse relegates their Other to other times (ie. as “primitives,” “savages,” or simply as “unchanging,” a “cold” culture in Lévi-Strauss’ case), treating the studied culture as a stable, and more importantly static, object, which is thus available to be studied as it is and always will be. The differentiation between the anthropologist’s time (modern, moving time) and the time of the Other (static, less developed, older) constitutes what Fabian calls anthropology’s denial of coevalness, the denial that anthropologist and interlocutor exist in the same time, or in other words its allochronic (occurring in different times, asynchronous) discourse.

A contradiction thereby exists between anthropological practice, which by necessity occurs in one shared time between anthropologists and interlocutors, and anthropological discourse, which represents Others as existing in different times from anthropologists and the cultures they represent, a situation Fabian refers to as a schizogenic use of time.

Now, this is a solidly Left wing book written to critique Western Colonialism.  When one reads about the demonization of the Other, the most important books being referenced, in my understanding, are this one, and Edward Said’s Orientalism.

But as with Howard Zinn, the intent is not to present a complete picture.  It is certainly to describe processes which did and do happen.  “Othering” people different from you happens.  You do it.  You do.  So do I.

But these authors really only want to use Western intellectual methods to critique the West.  They do not want to look at the FACT that every culture on the planet does the same thing.  When the Spanish invaded Mexico, and conquered the Mexica Aztecs, they conquered an empire which had “Othered” many tribes and cultures throughout what is now Central America.  They conquered them by military force, cut their hearts out on ceremonial altars, and reportedly sometimes skinned them, as in Silence of the Lambs, and ran through the streets wearing robes made from their victims.

Africans conquered Africans.  Asians Asians.  One tribe of Maori would conquer and enslave another.  The Maori kept slaves.  I remember posting on this when I wrote about “Once were Warriors”, which is a brutal film.  Sakajaweya was a slave captured by one tribe in a raid, and sold to her husband, a much older French trader.

So what Said and Fabian did in their works, in important respects, was Other their own native cultures (both clearly existed in the cultural space of the West).  They created a static template in which Western academics always and in all cases created an  allochronic, schizogenic discourse, making ALL Western discourse inherently unfair.

But of course this accusation itself is unfair.  The ideal was then, and remains now, to paint an accurate picture.  Full Stop.  In the 19th century no doubt many prejudices which all humans are prey to animated the writings of the professionals, but even then the goal was to be accurate, even if many could not prevent themselves from forming uninformed and romantic notions which were really inaccurate.

Other than its sheer scale of success, there is no perspective from which what the West did differs in any way from what substantially all cultures have done for recorded history.  They invaded.  They conquered.  They enslaved.  They stole.  They looted.

It was this notion of the Static Other which made it possible for people to claim the war in Vietnam was against the “Yellow Man”.  No, we fought alongside one “yellow” tribe, against a different “yellow” tribe, itself supported by another cultural tribe, that of the Communists, whose ancestry was white.  Many of them were actual Russians.

This I will call the “Brown Person Fallacy”, which is that “they” are all the same, and that to attack one of them is to attack all of them.

And in our own conquests we did also bring a different notion of time, specifically the notion of moral progress. Clearly, all actually existing societies of the world went through periodic changes, but their world views, by and large–and I’m not the historian to know about some obscure tribe in Africa or the Amazon that does not fit this template–were perceived as relatively static.  Their gods changed little if at all.  The nature of life changed little if at all.  Their customs and mores, if uninterrupted by outside forces, tended to change slowly if at all across large swathes of time.  Think small Amazonian tribes, doing what they do for thousands of years.

Only in the West–not in China, not in Japan, not in Africa, not in the Americas–did  the notion of steady moral and material progress arise.  The notion that our task was to make everything a bit better, generation after generation, even if it meant “subverting dominant paradigms.”  Even if it meant change most of us did not want.  Once you sign on to the notions of reason and progress, then you have to accept new conclusions when they come down the pike.

And what I would submit is that at some point, large segments of our intelligentsia left this train.  They stopped believing in true moral progress.   I don’t know if they got scared, but that seems the likeliest explanation.

I would submit that there is a continuum between collective guilt and individual guilt, and that this continuum represents that between atavism and regression on the one side, and a positive, benevolent future for humankind on the other.

This brings me to my point.  THE MODERN LEFT VIEWS ALL GROUPS AS MONOLITHIC, MORALLY EQUAL, COLLECTIVELY CULPABLE, STATIC, INCAPABLE OF CHANGE, AND AS SEPARATE.

This is more or less precisely the perceptual blindness which underlies true racism.  Leftist “anti-racist” discourse is intrinsically and violently bigoted, at the levels both of principle and practice.

And since I’m a Chicago guy, I will insert a methodological note.  Obviously, I myself am making of “the Left” a monolithic whole.  This is an heuristic method, which is necessarily inexact.  I recognize that “they” fight among themselves about this that and the other/Other.

But the nature of this particular beast, the social dynamic which informs it, as I have argued often, is and necessarily must be social and emotional and political conformity, and at that, conformity to continually changing rules and imperatives.  One week, we are underfunding the police.  The next week, the police need to be abolished.  If you want to keep your standing, you shout the one the first week, and the other the next week.

Such a dynamic allows me, I feel, to make reasonably accurate claims about “them” as a group.  And certainly what I am describing matches what I personally witness every day in practice.  There is no abuse to reason I see which is not best ascribed to that person’s reflexive and compulsive rejection of their own personal agency and moral capacity in favor of adherence to the  screechings of a mutable and fundamentally irrational and inconsistent political bullhorn.   They might as well be rolling dice.

Returning to my main point, put another way, the modern Left applies the same methods for the rationalization of conquest that early Western colonialists did with respect to the world.  Everything Edward Said and Johannes Fabian accused the West of, their own direct intellectual descendants want to repeat.

Let me take a concrete example.  If you have not seen this, it is worth the watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4BveH3iTFM

It is Candace Owens take on the whole George Floyd thing . As she says, in our society, only black criminals are held up as heroes.  All other cultural groupings with the United States reject and disown their own, when they commit crimes like what George Floyd committed.

This is a separate issue from Chauvin’s actions, which I won’t examine.

The point is that Floyd is being made out to be some sort of secular saint, a martyr.  There is and can be no discussion of what sort of person he was, or how he came to be in that situation.

On another message board I saw a nasty exchange between a guy who is a hospice worker and who often visits our local black community to help people die with peace, and dignity and with someone by their side.  It’s heroic work in many respects.

And his point was that not all persons of color are saints.  Many of them are no good.  In response, he was told he was a KKK member and a racist.

Think about that.  A small minority of blacks commit a LOT of crimes.  40% of all violent crimes–as Owens points out–are committed by some percentage of 7% of the population, which is the black males.  That number may itself need to be cut in half, and perhaps again.  Perhaps 1-3% of people in this country commit 40% of the violent crimes.  Some 52% of all homicides.  More blacks are killed by other blacks every year, most years, than were lynched by anyone in the  whole history of unpunished institutional racism.  There were about 4,000 lynchings that are recorded, everywhere, for all time for which we have records (by memory: add a couple thousand if you like)  That is awful.  1 is too many.  But is getting shot going to work by accident really that much better?  If everyone reassured knowing that even though it was random and terrible, that it didn’t involve “racism”?  Is there that much less crying for the loss of a loved one?  Do you really think blacks are a different species of human being?  I don’t.  All the details matter, but it is the fact of the loss which matters most.  The terror of lynching is the terror of sudden violent, unfair death.  Most blacks in most violent American cities live with that fear today.

Here are some randomly selected statistics: https://www.dailywire.com/news/7-statistics-you-need-know-about-black-black-crime-aaron-bandler

Do your own DuckDuckGo search.  You know the basic outline is accurate.

But what the Left wants to do is make all blacks into saints, and call racist everyone who disagrees.  This does violence to common sense, and it enables actual violence in black communities.

What happens, for example, if the white calls for an end to police presence in black neighborhoods actually gets enacted?  Do not more blacks die?  Is this a desirable outcome?  Of course not.

The whole thing depends on simplistic, bigoted, racist thinking, as I have said, of precisely the sort that animated the Western colonial project.

Current left wing narratives are atavistic, regressive, damaging, racist,  They reject the notion of individual guilt.

Rayshard Brooks, for example, was a violent man.  It’s unclear what the exact story was, but he did time for hurting his children and seemingly his wife or girlfriend.  He punched a cop in the face, and stole another cops Taser, then shot it at the second cop.

This is not a good guy.  This is not someone who was an asset to his community.  We can debate why, but it seems likely an unhappy childhood, brought on by poverty and an overwhelmed single mother, is the likeliest answer.

We KNOW, beyond any shadow of a reasonable doubt, that all black children would do better in two parent homes.  We KNOW that a good education will permanently improve an individuals chances in life, just as a poor education will damage them.  We KNOW that good jobs cause general increases in overall material well being, and that that in turn decreases many of the stresses of life.

So why is our focus not on these three obvious items?  Why are we not trying to do the things which will obviously work, and which are obviously not being done now?

Here is an idea: elements within our society want to “colonize” our system, broadly speaking, which they would term a “revolution”.  It would be a conquest, of one faction–the rational, Constitutionally grounded, progressive faction–by one animated by traditional motives of aggression, hatred, greed, lust and perhaps boredom/ennui.

I will leave you with an image, one which started this whole open ended exercise in talking out loud with my fingers.

I myself am firmly dedicated to improving myself emotionally.  As I have written often, I have terrible emotions from my past which more or less come up and attack me every night when I try to sleep, and which tend to make me hypervigilant and paranoid during the day.  I am always on the watch for threats. (And I will note that it is the paranoia that makes me look.  What I see is clearly there.  Just because I am paranoid does not mean there is no they, or that they are not out to get people like me.)

Progress is slow.  It comes in fits and starts.  But it is being made.

Left wing notions more or less literally consist in the delusion that taking someone like me, locking me up, beating me regularly, and teaching me to repeat emotionally disconnected, imbecilic and irrational cant will somehow actually improve me as a human being.

This was done to millions in all these totalitarian projects in the 20th century.  To some unknown extent, it is STILL being done in places like North Korea, China, and Cuba.

And generalized, the notion is that if you do the same thing to a SOCIETY, if you capture it, imprison it, and beat the living shit out of it, that someone a utopia will emerge.  To call this vanity is much too generous.

All of these things, all these political myths (of the bad sort) exist for only one thing: to enable a return to the most primitive stages of human cultural evolution.  To a Top Ape.  To slaves.  To a system based on the arbitrary and capricious and often sadistic use of power.

That’s it.  All these vegans: they want to kill someone, preferably as a mob.

That will do for today.  I repeat myself, but I do continue to believe variations and riffs in the melody fill out the picture in useful ways.

Malls

Malls are really suburban community spaces, aren’t they?  You have parks, and malls.  And “community centers”, I suppose.  I haven’t been in one of those in a minute.

I was wandering around wondering what an alternative, more culturally and emotionally satisfying community space might look like.

What if all of us had everything we needed for life?  What if robots did not ruin us but created the conditions where none of us had to work?  What then?  What to do with the time?

And this is a larger, even cosmic question I’ve been contemplating, but don’t feel like discussing in more depth right now.

But as I think I’ve commented more than once, I think Stranger Things really hit on some resonant mythic themes.  And specifically, the shopping mall–which was newly destroying downtown Smallville (whatever the town was called) and the climactic scene in which the people who have been subsumed into the blob confront the protagonists.

Just looking quickly, and throwing something out there, punk feels like a primal scream before a sort of collective submersion of much of America some time in the 80’s into a compliant, servile, unimaginative, hostile, emotionally needy mediocrity.  This applies no matter which side of the manufactured political divide you fell on, although the Left certainly promised more in terms of moral hauteur and unwarranted grandiosity.

The really good music seems like it was done by 1985, doesn’t it?  The music where people threw some part of their real selves into it?  For me, the last Bruce Springsteen album I enjoyed in its entirety was “Born in the USA”.  I think all of AC/DC’s best albums were done by then.  Same with Rush.

And the malls sprang up, and the pod people starting waiting for their iPod’s.

This is of course overly generalizing.  But I can now that that is how I felt then.  And all these years later, I can’t say definitively I was wrong.

I don’t know where my people are.  I don’t know where my tribe is, and I think many people feel like that.  Me, I’m normal in my emotional needs, but painfully perspicacious with respect to the bullshit people throw out and don’t even realize it.  Most people do not even realize it when they are being inauthentic, because they have never been any other way, because nobody has ever been any other way with them.  Malls and TV.  Cars and sex.  Booze, drugs and rock and roll.

And probably 100,000 plus deaths of despair in 2020.  I think you could safely bet a good sum on that.

All of this is sketch work from 20,000 feet.  But I sketch.  That’s what I do.  Any portraits I build come from prior study.  I suppose it would be reasonable for me to assert that the mental images, the ideas, the arguments, the psychosocial gestalts of various sorts I build, constitute for me my own creative work, my art.

A perception is never the reality, is it?  The reality is multifaceted, and quite possibly includes facets whose existence we don’t even suspect.  What if Thetans are real?  I don’t believe that, but I’m not God, so I can’t definitively say what there is to see that I am not seeing.  The brightest human who ever lived may have missed two thirds of what matters.  We don’t know.

But a good perception allows us to plug it into our plans, and then see what happens.  Add two parts This Idea to one part That idea, then see what happens in the real world.  That is where politics and economics become science.  In theory, history consists in a long succession of experiments too, but “history” has become victim to people who want to conquer the present by reconquering the past with a different flag.

Obvious point

Most of the people doing the protesting in the streets have been out of work for 12 weeks.  Many of them are still out of work.

Sitting on your hands breeds boredom, anger, agitation, anxiety, and an urge to explode.  You just need a reason.

I will add that none of the “black leaders” I have seen have called for an end to the work stoppage. If they were sincere–if the well being of their communities was their primary concern–that would be the first demand.

And self evidently, given that the protests are being permitted and even tacitly encouraged by Democrats around the country, they are not worried any more about COVID-19–remember that?–any more either.

On the contrary, getting the cameras on the issue of “racism” takes it off this idiotic and catastrophic attack on the private sector which CONTINUES to this very moment in much of the country.

Where I am, we can go out to eat.  I found a gym that is not enforcing the idiotic mask rule.  Most local stores allow me to ignore the idiotic mask rule [it occurred to me that wearing a mask when no one else is is tantamount to saying “I’m not voting for Trump”.  It is a symbolic gesture of virtue signalling and probably some small bit of real fear.  What it is NOT is something grounded in science, common sense, or data.]

This whole thing is a stinking mountain of bullshit.

If America can’t figure this out, why would we DESERVE continued freedom?  How fucking stupid can you get?  I continue to hope that the sheer volume–noise-wise and quantity-wise–of open air, mouth dropping, drooling imbecility out there will start evolving the silent ones into Trump voters.  I don’t think this is the sort of world anyone wants to live in, and it is clearly not Trump’s fault this insanity is happening.  He precipitated it, but it was there in latent form the whole time, invisible to those without eyes, but very visible now.

I would even go so far as to say Trump in effect provided eyeglasses like those in “They Live” that allows all of us to see the alien creatures which have come to occupy so much of our society.  They don’t share our liberal values, don’t share our regard for the rule of law, feel no compassion for anyone different from them, and reject radically and decisively the value of reason and compromise in the reconciliation of difference.

Life imitating art

It occurs to me what we are living through is a bit like the first Kingsman movie.  You lock everyone up, starve them in many cases–for society, for work, for stimulation, and in no small number of cases for the food they used to be able to afford–then use your control of the nation’s media to set everyone at each others throats.

Here is my 5G conspiracy.  I will usually weigh in on most of these things sooner or later.

5 G has nothing at all to do with COVID-19 OTHER THAN that it can be used to amplify anxiety and fear.  Imagine what use could be made of something which makes people even more anxious.  It is my understanding humans react to these frequencies poorly and that they seem even to cause illness in many living systems, plants and animals included.

And if you are a string puller, hiding in a mountain getaway, perhaps in the mountains of Argentina or even Antarctica, all you have to do is wind everyone up, and any chaos that ensues benefits the cause of global collapse.

You know, America has an outstanding spy apparatus.  Nothing major should escape our notice.  BUT, our spy agencies seem to be on the side of the conspirators.
