Nirvana

Having an amazing breakfast somewhere down South (eclair to go for later), and thought of this poem: https://youtu.be/W-vdPkESLZs

In my view, the point of life—or one of them since purposes always depend on contexts—is to learn to have experiences like this more and more often—to feel the magic.

When you do that you become food for others, and since everyone is hungry, this is one of the best paths of service.

Random thought

I was looking at an old abandoned church just now, and thinking there was some minister whose life mission was, as he saw it, saving souls.

Do you not think many such people go to their graves deeply disappointed they were not able to do more?

More generally, do you not think many people who feel a mission in life die feeling their work incomplete?

None of us can really “save” the world, and it may not need saving. Maybe we all have our own destiny and those who are suffering suffer because it is their job in this life to learn to rise.

And I was thinking yesterday, if I look at things ftom a Buddhist perspective, is a pleasant Samsara to be preferred over an unpleasant one? Both are so inferior to a larger reality we cannot comprehend that they are functionally equal. This is the theory, in any event.

Maybe I, and you, should set our shoulders to our work—honestly, sincerely—but not in the end take ourselves too seriously, or overestimate both what is needed and what is possible

Truth

It occurred to me today that when people embrace easy lies, the hard truths recede.  They do not stay in the same place.  They are not at the same distance.  They retreat.

And the more you embrace easy and comforting fictions, the more you develop this habit, the easier and easier it becomes.  Easy fictions become additive and addictive.  Everything will be fine.  There is nothing to worry about.  Tomorrow will inevitably be like today, but with more seasons of your favorite show.
And here is the thing: no person can get addicted to easy fictions without losing some part of themselves.  You cannot tell lies about anything for any period of time, without losing some part of yourself.
To be clear, I tell people in grocery stories sometimes I have a “medical condition”.  My medical condition is very mild asthma and a borderline panic disorder at the absurdity of the whole thing, but in truth it would not kill me to wear a mask.
But I KNOW what the truth is.  I’m not lying to myself.   It is the lies you tell yourself and BELIEVE that do the damage.
Look at Joe Biden.  We KNOW he is crooked.  We know this.  There is enough evidence at THIS MOMENT, in all likelihood, to get him arrested for what he did while Vice President.  And there is enough evidence to put Hunter in jail for pedophilia.
And anyone who wants to know this, knows this.  If they don’t want to know this, then that is the first retreat from hard truths, isn’t it, and in itself a form of self deception?
I quoted Dostoevsky the other day, saying something I have long believed myself, which is that if you cannot trust yourself to speak honestly to yourself, you partition.  Part of you separates.  And this is the part you need for authenticity.  And without authenticity there is no love and without love life is without purpose.  It FEELS like it has no purpose, even if you have a to-do list every day.  There is no touch, between you and Life, and you and other people, outside of the mundane thrills of sex and sadism.
And as Dostoevsky pointed out, without love people turn themselves over to animal passions, which themselves consist mainly in thrills of various sorts.  And the thrills usually boil down over time–for elites–to drugs of all sorts, sex, and cruelty, which are all no doubt sometimes combined.
So I say again that the claims that there are elite Satanists out there makes emotional sense to me.  The whole project is based on self deception, and anyone who learns to live in that world, and to breathe that air, is sooner or later going to become petty, angry, hateful, cruel, jealous, and lustful for power.
And look, too, at the sorts of people who become “tech giants”.  These are the opposite of people people.  Most of them spent their childhoods and youths vastly more comfortable in front of computers than people.  That did not change when they made their fortunes.  Large segments of our world are governed by whatever they are calling Asperger’s spectrum people now, who probably could and should most accurately be called clinically dissociated, which is to say emotionally apart.
We are ruled by people who look at the rest of us through frosted glass.

The Buckley Spiritual Challenge

I just got an email from a group featuring a talk on Buddhism and Anti-mask ignorance.  I’m sure the concept of Avidya was going to get worked into it.

It occurs to me to comment that, just as William F. Buckley Jr. famously said he would rather be governed by the first 200 people in the Boston phone book than by the Harvard faculty, I think those same 200 people, in aggregate, are likely to be more authentically spiritual than most of the people who live in retreat centers and spend weeks every year meditating.  Those are not people who would have your back in a pinch, but most normal people would, if it were important.
Although, as I think about it,  Boston is pretty decadent.  Let’s make it the working class part.  The working joes and janes.
For most people, I think “spirituality” is really a partitioning.  They don’t deal with their shit.  They just learn to walk around smiling beneficently, becoming vegan, and hating Trump and his supporters passionately.  You know, because we “hate”.
Projection isn’t just for movie theaters.
Yeah, you can quote me on that.  I think I just came up with it.
And the thing is, if you have an internal screen where all you see is your sensitivity and compassion,  all the evil that we are ALL born with comes to seem like wild beasts OUT THERE.  That is how projection works.
I think I am even going to assert [yes, I did] that Trump is a sort of Rorschach.  How you feel about him is in large measure proportionate to your own emotional awareness and development.
For myself, I like him even when he is crass, but I can see what people might find that off-putting.  But these people who are calling him a Fascist are emotionally ill.

Then there’s this

 https://www.infowars.com/posts/im-going-to-release-the-kraken-sidney-powell-vows-to-expose-dem-collusion-behind-dominion-voting-systems/

I am going to say that if Donald Trump cannot prevent this steal, I will remember him mainly for that.  This was something everyone could see coming from miles away, so there is no excuse for being blind-sided.

I COULD see some merit in letting the fraud happen, getting everyone to put their cards on the table, and THEN starting to arrest people.  Maybe we needed the cheating to happen normally, for the media to do what it could easily have been expected to do, then walk the whole thing back and hopefully wake up a few more people who were asleep.

But as I say, I’m used to being disappointed.  The bastards always get away with it, just as they would in a Banana Republic.  We do not have an evenly applied and effective system of law.  Once you get over a certain line, if you know the right people you can do literally anything.

I will note in the past that Powell has commented on Anthony Weiner’s laptop which allegedly shows Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin cutting of the face of a girl.  It supposedly sickens everyone who watches it.

If this is true, what do we not know?

As I commented elsewhere today, Jeffrey Epstein was murdered in a high security prison, in his cell, and the murderers GOT AWAY WITH IT.  We have made this a joke, but it’s not a funny joke.  This is high level corruption that goes to the top of all our major agencies, particularly the FBI, which I am very sure will not lift one finger to look at evidence of fraud.  They were given film evidence in Minneapolis and ignored it, just as they ignored Hunter Biden’s laptop.

If we don’t get something big soon, this country is going to hell.

Supreme Court, a maximal goal

Even in 2016 it was obvious there was a lot of fraud.  Trump won, so by and large it was dropped, but if you recall he convened a commission to look into it headed by Mike Pence.  Most or all of the States run by Democrats refused to cooperate in any way, shape or form.  The Kentucky Secretary of State said there was not enough whiskey in Kentucky to get her to release voter rolls which could be examined for validity.

Here is the thing: Democrats really don’t HIDE their fraud.  No one who has an ounce of sense can fail to grasp what they are doing.  But they own the media, they own a lot of weak minds, and they own enough judges and legislator and Governors that they don’t really have to care if all sane people know they are cheating.

But if, as I argued as a Constitutional legal principle, ALL invalid ballots–whether the same ballot is run through five times, or comes from a dead person, or has the vote switched electronically or manually–constitute, EACH, legal examples of unequal protection.  Legally and morally, EVERY ONE is equal to a black person denied the right to vote in the Jim Crow South.  Each every one of them.  ONE fraudulent vote is a crime, and as I noted, if the count is off by one, it could be off by a thousand, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, or a million (when we get to a national scale).

For the same reason that Jim Crow was a legal abuse contrary to all the expressed and latent intentions of our Constitution, voter fraud is an abuse, and numerically most likely a much larger one.  More Americans are likely deprived of their votes by fraud than blacks were ever deprived of their right to vote by poll taxes and the like.

It is thus highly ironic, hypocritical, and ultimately to their detriment that Democrats keep saying “every vote should count”.  This is true, but every fake one means that a VALID one does not count.  Their very method, and aims mitigate AGAINST the principle they proclaim.

Here is what I would like to see: the Supreme Court ordering all States to conduct top to bottom voting audits, in the interest of protecting the right to vote, to having each vote count, and to the principle of one person/one vote.  Given their rhetoric, Democrats cannot in principle disagree, although of course they and their media outlets would howl like banshees.

Such an order would be large, but long, long past due.  The truth is, in 2020 America, with all our technology, we have NO IDEA how much fraud happens.  We know THAT it happens, but it could very easily be much, much, much larger than even the most cynical among us suspect.

The only way to find out what is there is to look.  And the only way to look is to make it legally binding even to the people who stand to lose from the process, who have been obstructing the process, and who in many cases may well wind up facing jail time.  Finally.

It is not too late.  The sun has not set on America yet.  It is late.  Very late.  But we are not finished yet.  But if the Machine gets full control, we are.  Outside of actual violence I see no chance of anything changing. and inside of violence I see little upside.  That is not something I personally would participate in.

Far too many of us have lost our minds.   We need the sane people, the ones in positions which matter, to do the right things finally, and help get us back on the paths of righteousness, fairness, and the American Way.

Stockholm Syndrome

We are being held captive, in important respects, are we not?  Could this not be one way of explaining the very odd and to my mind hard to understand fact that people seem to be ADDICTED to these lockdowns and restrictions?  To the masks?  If there is evidence against either–and that is in fact where most of it points–they don’t want to hear it.

If I ask “don’t you want to hear live music again?” they have nothing to say.
