I feel the need to point out that there are most likely a good number of Americans who were taken captive in Afghanistan, and bad things done to them. The same would hold doubly for our allies in Afghanistan who were completely abandoned.
As I said at the time, the REAL problem for Joe Biden was not abandoning Americans, but that that fact would be reported. His real enemies, therefore, were not the Taliban, but journalists able and willing to report on the situation in Afghanistan, from Afghanistan.
Would it not make sense, then, to share the locations and names of all Western journalists in Afghanistan with the Taliban?
The whole thing was conducted more or less like the Chinese or someone had given him a deadline to get out. He did not even do the BASICS, the common decency things, the responsible things. None of it. Just: GET OUT NOW. And then we close shop, and forget the things and people we left behind. Then we move the news cycle along, and its all tied up with a pretty bow and forgotten.
This is the degree of mistrust I feel: it would not surprise me if Joe Biden–which is pretty much always to say those people operating this de facto simulacrum of a human being–sent CIA folks to Afghanistan to teach the Taliban how to use the weapons they were gifted.
The whole thing is a monstrous betrayal on many levels.
