But the thing is too large, the cost too high. It cannot be ignored, cannot be rationalized, and should not in my view be forgiven.
All of us need to punish in the voting booths and in public forums the architects of this idiocy.
And to be clear, I don’t blame Trump. He relied on someone who should have known what he was talking about, who has been doing what he does for four decades, and as soon as Trump realized Fauci & Co. were full of shit, he started contradicting him.
Here is the thing: if Joe Biden had been President, we would all STILL be shut down. The whole country would still look like California.
But the thaw is coming from this deep freeze. People are going to come out of their numbness, shake their heads, and start asking “what the hell just happened?”
I don’t think that will be a good time to be a Democrat.
And all these fireworks going on right now, they have a limited shelf life. If the agitators can’t start a race war–and I really don’t think anyone who might be involved in the fighting wants that–then the people they just abused and manipulated might well start asking questions themselves.
My feeling for a few weeks has been that processes have been set in motion that cannot be stopped, and which I feel will work to the benefit of humankind. My feeling has been that there is no need for me to blog. Whatever good I may have accomplished, it is done, at least for now.
