Trump is really in a good position, where he can juxtapose himself with the Democrats. He can say, in effect, “if you all are tired of the lockdowns, if you have suffered through all this, vote for me. I’ll get things moving again, and fix the economy. We had a roaring economy less than 6 months ago, and it will roar again. If you want to be locked down forever, then vote for Joe Biden.”
The Democrats have really painted themselves in a corner. They can’t really say they saved lives, particularly once Trump starts showing the data I know will come out, concerning suicides and indeed concerning HCQ, which will prove to be as beneficial as Trump claimed early on.
The Dems are trying to blame the economic effects of the lockdowns on Trump, but it won’t be hard for him to point out that, while he followed Fauci’s terrible advice in the early days–for the simple reason that Fauci was supposed to be qualified–that he started differing from him early on, something the Democrats never did, and indeed have not yet. There is literally nothing Trump could have done differently, and no cause for regret, other than we did not follow the path of Sweden, or Switzerland (my next post).
Bright skies, full employment, freedom: vote for Trump.
Dull, gray skies, economy in tatters, governors locking people down at random intervals for arbitrary reasons indefinitely: vote Biden.
Santa Claus: Trump.
Grinch: Biden.
