Freedom of the Press

The Constitution states that the President has to give a State of the Union speech once a year.  Beyond that, to my knowledge, there is no requirement that the President communicate ANYTHING to the press or anyone else.  Certainly it is helpful politically, certainly it helps in terms of selling the new initiatives that are regularly coming down the pike.  But it not legally required.  The press has no legal claims on the office of the President.

And I would ask: if Jim Acosta has a legal right to ask questions of the President, does he also have the legal right to tell him to go fuck himself to his face?  Are there no boundaries, no residual dignities, which can be afforded the highest office in the land?

Are we all to be made the helpless victims of mass inanity and insanity?  Of judges who mistake their personal opinions for the law?

Any nation filled with mediocrity is doomed to mediocrity.  We rose above mediocrity in many ways for a long time, but the long term results of Cultural Marxism are turning our brains into lifeless Soviet era concrete blocks.
