Now, “Behold a Pale Horse” has been sorta, kinda, not really, but who knows maybe on my reading list. It actually happened to be there too, and among other things it includes a full copy of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which he insists should be Sion, and refer not to Jews but to the Illuminati. Be that as it may, I did not purchase the book, and don’t plan to any time soon.
But what I found fascinating is that this book is apparently a cult favorite among blacks, and at least according to one reviewer:
Through Hip Hop in the early 90’s I first learned of William Cooper and his book, Behold The Pale Horse. Countless rap songs from then to now referenced it and made the illuminati a well known conspiracy theory in hoods coast to coast. Mark Jacobson’s Pale Horse Rider peels the onion and lays it all out for us. His personal discussions with Wu Tang Clan’s Ol Dirty Bastard, and Mobb Deep’s Prodigy about Cooper’s work before they passed away makes this book a must read !”
Somewhere in there Jay-Z was referenced too. This puts a whole new spin on his (and Beyonce’s) apparent use of the Illuminati symbol.
I will comment that I find this world fascinating. I want you to ponder for a moment that on every fifth street corner, if you are in an average city, you will find an edifice erected to the proposition that God had a son who lived on Earth, who was sacrificed to atone for the sins of someone who lived 100 generations ago, and that this stay on Earth, while temporary, will dictate our eternal destinies.
And ponder that this belief set may be vastly more rational, and much closer to the actual truth than the “science” being propounded in our schools, which are dedicated to impartial, objective, logical, empirical truth, and which have most likely missed by a mile with regard to profoundly important things, and most notably the nature of life and death.
We are all insane, to greater or lesser degrees. Getting used to this idea is an important part of becoming sane.
Is Cooper right? Fuck if I know but it seems clear enough some well planned and really nasty shit is on the horizon. Much of it is here already. Next time you look at your phone, remember you have no way of knowing who is looking back at you.
