This is great. These two represent my own views exceedingly well in nearly all details, large and small. They are a blend of Randian Objectivism and Ram Dass. Conservative hippies. Voluntaryists who quote Rumi, who understand free markets, and also get that some corporations are run by sonsabitches.
My sole quibble is that I would like to revoke the right of corporations to make campaign donations too, but only if we also eliminate corporate income taxes. Otherwise it is taxation without representation. And obviously if we end taxes on corporations they will be able to pay much higher wages, and the government–at least until we fix this thing–can charge more in personal income taxes.
All of the pain and most of the disasters in our world are unnecessary. Solutions exist today. All the world’s problems have solutions with today’s technology, and absent psychopathic SOB’s throwing wrenches in wheels everywhere, tomorrow’s technology would already exist today. Nearly all of the pain we see everywhere is for all intents and purposes planned, as a stepping stone or necessary concomitant of some power oriented goal.
Watch the first one on YouTube, then pay the money for this one. Well worth your time, in my view. The second one has a LOT of political commentary on the back end. They deal well and honestly with socialism, “Democratic Socialism”, and most of the idiocies of the present day Left, without abandoning the core idealism that represents true Liberalism.
As I say, these are all my own beliefs.
