 It seems to me that the worst fate that can befall someone is to be bereft of memory, loyalty, and principle.  This was largely true of the men of Orwell’s generation, I suppose.  Individualism–even though it was even then being attacked carefully and effectively by careless and incompetent thinkers–was a thread permeating their consciousnesses.

Today, though, it seems to me that through a variety of means we have created hordes of people with de facto Borderline Personality disorders.  They have fractured, undeveloped personalities, and tenuous and highly conditional senses of self. 

For such people, being excluded from the groups they have come to depend on for sanity is the worst fate they can suffer, and in such a world the idea of the social credit score makes more sense.  It is a torture by ostracizing, a torture by removal, by shunning.  And it can be fully automated.  It could be overseen TODAY, most likely, by AI.

I say to myself sometimes the best you can do is stay alive, hope, and do your best to remain awake, alert, and human, in ways both good and bad.  And some days that is the best I can reasonably expect from myself.  I am not depressed, so much as feeling this gnawing sense of desperation, like a trap is being closed around me I cannot avoid, and which will sooner or later devour me.

I say this in a spirit of ignorance and naivete–so this may be stupid–but it feels to me like a physical battle, with bullet wounds inflicted and seen, with smoke and sound, noise and fury, would be less stressful than dealing with the looming threat of empowered collective and collectivist madness.

And I say that having read a year or two an interview with a Canadian veteran who said precisely that, that he preferred being shot at to the slow growing grayness of Trudeauism, and who in fact volunteered to go back to some hot spot somewhere.  I suspect a lot of mercenaries are like that too.  It is a much simpler life, and not infrequently simpler is better.  You know who your enemies are, and you have every chance to shoot them.  They shoot back, but there is nothing particularly personal in it.

And, indeed, as he listened to the cries of joy rising from the town, Rieux remembered that such joy is always imperiled.

We were a “happy city” last February, were we not?  New businesses were opening up everywhere, unemployment was at historic lows, we were winding down our wars, and not starting any new ones.

Johns Hopkins started self censoring this nearly immediately after posting it. Since we patently now live in a world populated by more or less literal political Commissars scanning the internet for ThoughtCrimes, this post itself may be taken down, or mislabeled as misleading or false.

But the problem is not the science: it is the POLITICS. It makes it very obvious that the crimes our governments are committing against us can’t be justified even on their face, which is the claim that they are “saving lives”.

Overall death rates in all categories are more or less the same. Those who would have died of the flu died of COVID. Those who would have had heart attacks in their early 40’s died of COVID.

NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE. None of this, in my view, EVER made sense.

This is mass madness. This cannot–as I continue to demonstrate to the annoyance of some of you–be said often enough.

Therefore, according to Briand, not only has COVID-19 had no effect on the percentage of deaths of older people, but it has also not increased the total number of deaths.

These data analyses suggest that in contrast to most people’s assumptions, the number of deaths by COVID-19 is not alarming. In fact, it has relatively no effect on deaths in the United States.
This comes as a shock to many people. How is it that the data lie so far from our perception?”

Maybe difficulty is the wind we need to fly, or to sail.  Maybe cold is what we need to wake up to the warmth within us. 

 Is it all just a PsyOp, planned by the people it was supposedly planning to take down?

I have seen no evidence in all of this that honest people remain in our government in large enough numbers to matter.  They sure as fuck need to get something done to prove otherwise.  Otherwise they are contemptible, en masse and as individuals.

And I would suggest that the notion that our soldier are dying and fighting “for freedom” is integration propaganda.

America INVENTED propaganda.  We invented mass marketing, which is just a form of it.

We have been bleeding slowly from our heads since our self inflicted and ghastly wound during Vietnam.  I continue to believe that we only will be healed, and only can be healed, when the general truth about our victory and then chosen retreat in that war is common knowledge.

I don’t fault our soldiers for withdrawing into themselves.  All of this is much too large, much too complicated.  And we have been living complacent, largely affluent lives until now.  There were little white churches to protect, and school picnics.

But what now?  Are we to be placed on a river running over the falls of madness?  Are we not there already?

 His credibility is shot, is it not?  He claimed that Trump had secretly created a system which made it impossible to forge ballots.  He even claimed–several weeks ago–that arrests were coming.

Was he bought, to feed us that propaganda?  Has he lost his mind?  Surely we would know by now if this coding system existed.

It’s later than you think.  You have a comfortable life, maybe, and your biggest stress is waiting for the next episode of the Mandalorian, but what we need to fear is not what is happening now, but what is being prepared and made POSSIBLE.

It should not be possible for a qualified expert to do a well constructed study indicating that the official narrative concerning the collapse of Tower 7 is ridiculous, and that is it was OBVIOUSLY brought down by explosives, and have that narrative disappear, and be ignored.

But that is what happened.

For myself, I feel I have been given the almost comically difficult task of seeing all this, and STILL remaining open, and practicing the quiet courage of patience and faith.

 The complaints filed in Georgia and Michigan state, among other things, that China and Iran interfered directly with our election in a SUBSTANTIVE way, by connecting to the voting machines and altering totals.  This is actual election tampering.

If true, would this not be a HUGE national security failure?  One that happened on Trump’s watch?

But here is the thing: the CIA does not work for Trump.  It does not work for the American people.  It has not worked for the American people, on some accounts, nearly since its founding in the late 1940’s.

It seems obvious to me that, if it got them the result they wanted, key elements of our government would WELCOME Chinese and Iranian influence.  It won’t affect their lives in any way.  They would on the contrary be paid well, and perhaps even get promoted.

This is the real problem.  We send good men and women overseas to fight our wars, our permawars, which after some period of time nobody really understands the point of any more, but our actual NATIONAL SECURITY is neglected.

There is every reason to think the FBI–which also has not worked in the national interest at least since 9/11, and was no doubt corrupted long before that, with at least one Senior Agent–Ted Gunderson–having accused them of having actively supported the bombings at the WTC and Oklahoma City–is actively scouring all social media and looking for whiffs of dissent.  There is every reason to think every capable veteran is under more or less permanent surveillance.

They have cause to fear a revolution, because all of our agencies are corrupted and no longer working in our interest.  They are working against our interest.  They are being used by global elites to create panic and terror and wars we don’t need and which were created either out of whole cloth, or using planned provocations.

It is mind boggling.  Trump has not stood a chance thus far.  

Every expense of sweat and blood and toil needs to be expended keeping Trump in office by any means necessary, and he needs to pull off the gloves, understand that our press works for the Communists, and start taking back this country.  To do otherwise is to invite all sorts of truly awful things.

 Much of the enjoyment of being a connected member of the global elite is being in on the jokes the rest of the world does not know are being played on them.

It is no doubt a weak pleasure, suitable for those with advanced cases of ennui, moral dissipation and a pathological need for attention within a self referential circle.  Ghislaine Maxwell would be an obvious example.

There exist in this world people capable of laughing at mass hunger, or at a minimum, of not caring about it in the least.  There exist people capable of starting wars for profit.  There exist people capable of robbing the poor simply because they can.

Clear sight is a vinegar of sorts.  But like vinegar, it is a tonic of sorts too, and a stark relief from saccharine bromides.

 I read somewhere that a core attribute of Satanism is mockery.  It occurs to me that that is what is being portrayed as well in 1984: they are mocking all human virtues, in the process of denying the possibility of being human.

Here is what I propose: a coherent sense of self is the pathway, the gateway, to connection with the universe, oneness connecting with Oneness.

A coherent sense of self is exactly that: a sense, a feeling of who you are, what you believe and why.

Evil is precisely the rejection of the self, one driven by unseen shame and fear.  It is a lie requiring continual replication and repair.

The presence of Goldstein was a conscious mockery of the people being oppressed.  And the “virus” of Goldstein was something the sadists running the system anticipated and savored.  O’Brien lived for his “work”.  The work was the purpose of the system.  The relative luxury was simply one more way they mocked everyone on the outside.  It was a way of reinforcing the lie they told themselves, that they had a purpose in all this, that violence could provide them solace, and that the costs they paid were worth the benefits they earned.

Our billionaire class is like this even now.  I think Bill Gates is like this even now.  His purpose in life is being him, knowing that most of humanity cannot be him.  But outside of a power relationship with the world, he is nothing.  He can be nothing.  He is empty, a vacuum, a dark hole.

And the Ministry of Love, the Ministry of Truth: these were even within Orwell’s context a conscious mockery.  They were consciously derisive, consciously intended to mock human possibility, human advancement, human progress.  They were not mistakes or simply concealing lies.  They were a Fuck You to all human beings capable of contemplating a lives of refinement, joy, progress, and love.

I see how horror can be addictive, but it is always a decay.  It cannot build.  It cannot grow.  It is a game played behind high walls by and for people who shrink every day.

To my mind, Winston Smith’s message to the future “from a dead man” was absolutely redemptive.  His defense of humanity was absolutely redemptive.  O’Brien was wrong, even though he broke Smith and even though such people will always break the Smiths of the world.  It was the fight he put up, his lasting efforts to remain human.

Ultimately, there really is no more contextualizing belief that what we believe happens when we “die”, when our bodies stop working, as they surely must do.  I tend to try and apply my mind to all minds, to all beliefs–I try and posit moral and psychological arguments that would be relevant and intelligible even to atheists–but everything I do is ultimately conditioned to some extent by my reading of the scientific evidence, which is that our souls go on, that there is something more, that this life and this world are not all there are.

Edit: and as I think about it, this explains much of the behavior of the Left I see on the internet.  They love mocking people, trying to hurt them, denying valid arguments or ignoring them entirely.  And they LOVE using what I have taken to calling the Idiot Emoji, which is the laughing icon.  I get that on my posts dozens of times a week.  What they are trying to do is hurt me by laughing at me, which is to say by mocking me.

All of this, to protect their own lies psychologically.  When you are lying to yourself, you have to be aggressive.  You have to attack everyone else, and keep the focus external, in vivid motion, and chaotic.

I have a confession to make: until today, I have not been able to force myself to watch or read 1984. I know the basics, have read the plot, get the ideas. But I have not seen it.

It is stunning, watching it now, how close we are. The Party can put Goldstein on a screen everyone is made to watch, and he can tell something close to the truth, and yet people are conditioned to reject it, to revile, to be triggered and enraged by it.

Is this not more or less what we are seeing in the managed hate directed at Donald Trump? In the ridiculous lies that people embrace not just willingly, but enthusiastically and violently?

And it has to be said that among all the possible ways of reading the situation, one remains that Trump himself is part of a managed “resistance” and that the war is already lost. I can’t know. Few would know. But I retain hope.

But just now–and I am writing a few notes as I watch it–it was pointed out that the continual war is necessary to keep people hungry, ignorant and angry, and that the real war is that of the State against its own people, to support a hierarchy they would never otherwise accept and support.

Is this not in a nutshell what these quarantines and lockdowns amount to? Is this not a war by other means, directed by an elite against the rank and file Americans, the “proletarians” who, in our case, would be the small business owners and working poor? Will it not have the effect of impoverishing us–while Joe Biden, if he gets in office–swears daily that he is doing his best to help us and fix everything, and God forbid the Republicans ever get back in power to make things even worse?

This whole mask thing is managed hatred. If I am not sick, I can’t infect anyone, and the bulk of evidence and common sense is that people without symptoms are not contagious. This leaves mask wearing as protection, as PPE. But that doesn’t work either.

And as I have said, when I see the fear in people’s eyes, it is obvious to me that most of them really view the masks as shields against the disease.

And in recent days I have been pointing out that if Fauci and everyone else were REALLY trying to fight this pandemic, would they not be recommending Vitamin D supplementation to everyone, and doing so at the same rate they are insisting on mask wearing?

I am obviously no expert, but it seems obvious to me that if 20% of Americans are Vitamin D deficient, and if 60 million people get the flu each year, there may well be a lot of overlap between the two. It seems obvious to me that if 60 million come down with SYMPTOMS, that 200-300 million of us must be exposed to it, and simply fight it off effectively.

And it has been known for some years that zinc supplementation shortens the duration of the symptoms which the coronaviruses that cause the common cold induce. There are a number of supplements you can buy in any grocery store which exist for that reason. And Vitamin C, likewise, seems to shorten the duration, and presumably decrease the amplitude of the illness.

Why are these FACTS not being promulgated by our “experts”? I have been asking people who became seriously ill if their doctors told them these things, and most of them say no. Why? How?

This is a 1984 grade “war”, that is how.

Another quote: “there is truth and there is untruth. To be in a minority of one doesn’t make you mad.”

Same scene: “I understand how. I don’t understand why.”

Interrogation scene:

“Exactly. Obedience is not enough. Power is inflicting pain and humiliation. Otherwise you cannot be sure. The past is forbidden. Why? Because when we can cut man from his own past, then we can cut him from his family, his children, other men, there is no loyalty, except loyalty to the Party. There is no love, except love of Big Brother. All competing pleasures we will destroy. If you want a vision of the future, Winston, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever.

These are all themes I have explored in my own work.  Communism is vastly worse that Fascism.  Fascism, at root, is atavistic.  It is a return to tribal violence.  Communism is a new evil, which purifies and routinizes sadism in the pursuit of absolutely nothing.

In the end, Orwell described the how well, but never got at the why.  No one seems to know.  I will continue to try and get there.

This is a large universe, much larger than any Party can possibly fathom.  But this planet, they can control that.  That much is true.
