If you crap on the people who create jobs you crap on the people who need jobs. Only once a job exists can its terms be negotiated and improved, and as a general rule the more people there are creating jobs, the better the conditions and wages will be, naturally.
This might be the simplest summation of some key conservative—which is to say traditional and time tested—economic ideas I have yet proposed.

For the second time in August I just heard a credible rumor that a large employer in my own city may close a building where something like 10,000 people work.
Some of them may be laid iff but most will simply continue to work from home. Pretty much all major corporations seem to be finding white collar computer work can be done from anywhere, and they are eager to cut their real estate costs.
But of course where “downtown” in most major cities is concerned you have COVID, and more importantly you have rampant crime, vandalism, and depending on your city not infrequent riots.
All of these could EASILY reverse 3-4 decades of slow urban growth and improvement. They coukd wipe out decades of job growth in mere months, and THOSE JOBS MAY NOT COME BACK.
Gentrification creates jobs. You need cooks and servers and property managers and security guards and janitors and a host of other things. The latter depend on the former. And if all the people who used to come in every day for lunch or after work drinks move to exurbia or suburbia, who will keep you in business? Nobody. You will fail.
And once downtown looks like a ghost town, who wants to come there? The only people wandering around are those stuck there.
Rage is an easy emotion, and for short periods of time a gratifying one. But it is not easy to rebuild what can be destroyed quickly and thoroughly.
And rage is a particularly egregious and truly criminal emotion when what you are destroying does not even beling to you, as is the case with so many white punks who go into black neighborhoods, fuck thimgs up, then leave feeling like misunderstood saints.
Urban blacks, particularly, need to wake up and wake up FAST.
1. HCQ is a synthetic derivative of quinine, which is the tonic in gin and tonic.
2. It has been on the market for 65 years or so.
3. It is sold over the counter as a de facto vitamin in much of the world.
4. In malaria prone countries it is MANDATED by the WHO as prophylaxis.
5. India, Switzerland, and other nations used it successfully to end their own COVID epidemics, and no major media figures are talking about them.
6. It was banned for over the counter sale in France on Jan. 13th, which is to say right before the pandemic hit Europe. To call this highly suspicious is to understate the case, in my view.
7. Many highly credible doctors in this country have used it successfully both to prevent COVID-19, and to prevent it from getting worse in those already infected. Virtually no one given HCQ at the right point in the arc of their illness will die, and most will not even require hospitalization.
8. There can be little question than Anthony Fauci, Robert Redfield, and Deborah Birx KNOW ALL OF THIS.
9. The main “study” purporting to show dangers with this very old, vintage drug used fake data, and had to be retracted. The company which provided the data, Surgisphere, is effectively guilty of mass murder, and if investigated will most likely prove to have had ties to Big Pharma, the CIA, or both.
The only other reported issues–again, we are more or less dealing with tonic water–have to do with very long term daily use, which is to say five years or more, which no one is proposing right now.
10. If you are not pissed, confused, and scared, you did not understand what I just wrote.
And I wonder where President Trump is in all this. He knows this stuff too. Is he fighting a back alley battle with Big Pharma? It’s hard not to see his recent measures to cut drug costs as a sort of offensive against them. Maybe he knows they are behind it, and maybe there is a great deal going on we don’t know about.
Please continue to pray for the triumph of goodness and light. We are SO CLOSE to being able to build a world which is peaceful, prosperous and happy. But it could all come crashing down, particularly if the useful idiots continue being useful idiots.

I reached this conclusion introspecting. I have, by the way, found that Wim Hof breathing gets me drunk enough for me to have learned, largely, how to forego the real thing.
But laying there in a breath hold, all sorts of interesting thoughts and feelings course through me. I am a large man–256 this morning–but I can get a tad over two minutes, which is not bad, especially considering I am doing it the correct way, as I understand it, on a full exhale.
What I feel is there is hate in me. Hate, as I have commented, is the combination of anger and shame, which are two of the three “colors” of the amygdala (rage is anger and fear, and craven conformity the outcome of fear and shame, with all three playing prominent roles in all authoritarian regimes).
Hate of this sort, of the wounded sort, of the traumatic sort, has no object. It seeks and finds objects in its vicinity. It is pernicious particularly in the intelligent, since it is not hard at all to rationalize the feeling ex post facto without realizing one has the process backwards, in terms of what actually happened psychodynamically. Most, and more likely all, of Antifa works like this.
And what I feel is that addiction, for me, and I think for many people, is a sort of small suicide in which I kill rather than express what is hurtful in me. I drown it in alcohol. I dim my light. I extinguish my flame, for a time, rather than risk full exposure.
And I think addicts always have a sort of split in them, a dual personality, in which neither element is really honest, really open, and really true. One is more honest than the other, but the reality is blood and pain, and people like me rarely are even ABLE to get there, much less able to resolve these sorts of things. You toggle back and forth between one personality element which is not addicted–the one that sends you to AA meetings–and one which is, without resolution. This is why too much is never enough. Too much never gets it done. Too much feels like it should work, but it never does. That’s why you increase the dose. It’s all just on the wrong frequency. It’s not even really close. It has no hope of working, even if it kills you.
I’m not sure what I am saying here makes sense, but I do feel there is something useful here at least in seed form.
If reason were a virus, chronic fear would prevent infection.

And I will comment reason is not emotionlessness. It is not cold, or clinical. Reason is the mental counterpart to emotional health and intelligence. It is a mentally proportionate and appropriate response to any given stimulus.
It is most likely no one listens to me, but my OCD compels me to comment I rarely throw ideas without downsides and immune to objections.
It is the positive generative aspects that interest me. I leave it to others to find the holes and problems.

I get the politics of deferring to Fauci, but Trumo remains President, and in my view he needs to take a strong stand on this issue. The evidence is there now to support him.
Only being able to see with your mind is a form of blindness. This is true no matter how intelligent you are.
I feel and rue my own blindness daily. I am perhaps in this regard merely severely myopic, but the point remains. I have not, in my own view, even begun to honestly tap my own potential. It seems to me most people never realize anything else is possible.
It has long been obvious to me that Democrats take care of Teachers Unions because Teachers Unions give all their money and support to Democrats. By and large this is and long has been true of most Unions, with out and out graft and rent seeking both being common in most solidly Blue States like New York and New Jersey.
But one aspect that occurred to me is that Teachers Unions also play the unique role of reliably delivering Democrat VOTERS, and children so stupid and ignorant they have been effrctively blinded to their own interests.
Ponder and witness their nomination of a 79 year old man for President, who is clearly suffering dementia—and I will note that at his age it is not even the oft quoted “early onset” dementia—and who has been credibly accused of rape by a Democrat, who can produce plenty of winesses who were told about it at the time. He has a long history of being grabby in truly creepy ways, even with very underage girls. He has said countless stupid and thoughtless things on cameta, told blatant bald faced lies, and is under investigation in the Ukraine for a crime he ADMITTED TO ON CAMERA, and for which Trump, though obviously innocent, was impeached.
ONLY conspiracy theories, of one sort or another, are able to explain this astonishing and completely unprecedented situation.
