I read some time ago about how hypnotists can implant suggestions that will cause someone to do something on cue.  You can, as a very simple and easy example, “program” someone to scratch their nose when you say “lasagna”.  In any context.

And here is the interesting part (I may have posted on this before, but it seems reasonable to assume that if I can’t remember everything I post, nobody can remember everything I’ve written): when asked “why did you scratch your nose?”, people will come up with reasons. They will say it itched, or that it felt right.

What they will not do, normally, is say “I don’t know”.  I don’t know is a very structurally significant informational operator.  It gives you the space to evaluate.  It can cause you to look for information which at the moment is hidden.

This basic dynamic–this STORY, to be clear–was a watershed moment of sorts for me.  As I know I have written, some wise man (or woman) once wrote that most people have two reasons for doing things: the one they offer, and the real one.

And what is worth underscoring is that the real one may not be apparent even to them.  It may never become apparent in this life.  It will operate as an invisible planet with gravitational force, but which always intrudes in ways which cannot be understood, and which appear random.

That will suffice for now. More Harvey Wallbangers tonight.  Why?  Well, I can guess, but I would be lying if I said I FULLY understand what lies between me and reducing the intake of calories from alcohol, and between me and a night without lots of unpleasantness.

I understand the need to walk into hell, but I wish hell would stop walking into me. I’ll get this thing done.  It will just take time.  I am the opposite of fragile: I get stronger the more life fucks with me.

I am cursed with the ability to see stupid people.  They surround us, like very, very visible ghosts, haunting us with intellectual mediocrity and an inability to remain silent.

Whatever taxes Trump did or not pay on his personal income, or even the corporate income of his many businesses, he employed thousands of people who DID pay taxes.  They paid income tax, and they paid sales taxes and property taxes.  He paid property taxes.  He paid licensing fees.  He paid all the various monies extorted particularly in Democrat havens like New York.

Every large corporation employing lots of people not only pays a great deal in taxes, but by employing those people, they SPEND MONEY in that area, which creates the REALITY that Keynesian economics can only mimic, and only for short periods of time.  Of course it is good having people out spending money, but to be sustainable it has to be their own money, and for it to be their own money they have to have jobs.

If you attack those jobs by attacking the employer with higher taxes or more regulations, then you attack prosperity.

If you reward the employer with better business conditions, they expand, they create more jobs, pay more for existing jobs, and the community benefits.

These points are so obvious that a person of average or higher intelligence can only avoid seeing them through the successful lobotomy of Leftist indoctrination.  

It occurs to me we should not be like the professional Left and tell lies.  Machado posed nude for Playboy, but she never made pornography, per se.  What she actually did is in some respects worse.  She was on a Mexican reality show, or so I read, and had sex with one of her cast members on camera, where she kept raving about his dick.  Problem is, she was engaged to be married when this happened.  Her fiancee, humiliated, broke off the engagement.

It is perhaps the case that less truth has often been told in America.  But we certainly do not live in an Information Age.  What we have accomplished is making more people more wrong with more confidence, and made them more vocal about it.

I was listening to Dan Siegel’s book Mindsight today, and he is talking about differing patterns of attachment.  Basically, you have 4 patterns: secure, ambivalent, detached, and disorganized.

Without getting into the details of each, I want simply to submit that the war the Left has waged on the family is not a war on the family, per se, but of secure attachment.  The goal has been to develop neurotic, anxious, emotionally disorganized people who are the tabula rasas upon which totalitarian memes can be imprinted.

This, today, is what we are seeing in the universities.  Kids who are 20 today were born in 1996.  If their parents were 25 when they had them, then they themselves were born in 1971.  Their parents were fucked up, they bred neurotic kids, and those neurotic kids bred more, but this time with even less parental involvement, as women went to work, TV’s did the parenting, and the media ran the TV’s.

It has always made sense to me that Bill Ayers went into early childhood development.  This is the sort of thing he would have figured out.

I watched the cartoons that were on TV when my kids were young, and I refused to let them watch anything but PBS.  Spongebob Squarepants I explicitly forbade, because I told them I could feel it sucking intelligence away from me.  I could feel it making me stupider.  They have actually had conversations with their friends about this, since they remember it, and in point of fact most of their friends who DID watch that show wind up agreeing upon reflection.

What if these cartoons, themselves, are being produced to make our kids stupider?

One has to wonder about a creed so demonic that to achieve its ends it is willing to inflict horrific anxiety and fear on an entire generation, while simultaneously doing everything in their power to diminish them as human beings.

Imagine that such a creed calls itself Humanistic.  Imagine that the perpetrators of these crimes invoke words like love and compassion, as indeed the operators of the guillotines in Revolutionary France did.

This is an odd, odd world.  I”ll be dead in 100 years.  The main question is how I’ll go, and how much of what I am supposed to get done here will actually get done.  I am capable of so much more than I am currently able to express.  I operate daily with two hands tied behind my back.  I am getting better though.

If it is wrong to criticize someone whose JOB is to be beautiful for getting fat, is it wrong for Simon Cowell to criticize people who can’t sing?  Voice shaming?

If your food is poorly prepared, is it wrong to send it back?  Chef shaming?

If your landscaper does a shitty job mowing your lawn, is it wrong to ask that it be done right?  Landscape shaming?

In the second place, we need to understand we are seeing literal efforts at mind control.  We are seeing coordinated efforts across nearly all news outlets to shape public opinion in SPECIFIC ways.  Trump has done poorly with college educated women, and they are clearly trying to get all these women to simultaneously say “Poor woman!!”‘, and consider Trump a big meany head, despite his many decades of obvious efforts to include women in his organization and offer them opportunities.

And it is ODD to me that people want a woman President, but someone consider it Trumps job to treat her like a lady.  Why would the rest of the world do that, and why should Trump do that?  Either you are fucking up to the job or you aren’t.  Clearly, Hillary is a dragon lady, who has likely ordered, with Bill, the murder of dozens of people.  She is not a timid little flower, and it is the height of hypocrisy to say women can do what men can do, but that they should be treated differently.

And Hillary has a LONG history not of calling women Miss Piggy, but threatening them with physical and political and social violence.  She started when she psychologically tortured a raped 12 year old girl in order to get a guilty man off virtually scot-free.  And it plainly continued as Bill has left a swathe of traumatized women in his wake everywhere he has gone.

But I mean, cats went missing. My wonderful German Shepherd–big girl, never left my side. Disappeared into clear air for three days. I mean, I was absolutely panicked trying to find her… and three days later she just reappears…

I came home and found a beautiful, one-year old healthy cat dead on the deck of my house, and the only way to get to my deck of my house is through my house. It has no access to the yard.

I mean, I found a man in the middle of the night at the door of my walkout basement. I opened my car door, my tires were all slashed. Somebody found the car, found me, and flattened three tires with a nail gun.

I opened up my car door one day and there was an unidentified, strange cell phone sitting right in the driver’s seat.

We KNOW that the FBI has been corrupted.  They no longer work primarily for the American people . We KNOW the IRS has been corrupted, and never held accountable.  What happens when we put serial killers back in the White House in an age when half the country no longer CARES about the rule of law (as demonstrated obviously by the fact that Hillary is still a viable candidate)?  When they have been conditioned to treat disagreement as hate speech and an act of violence?

I’ve graduated to Harvey Wallbangers.  That’s a good drink.

I was pondering today in what nuance consists.  We lack it, clearly, in mainstream contemporary dialogue.  Academics “do” nuance, but often to the point where they say and believe nothing substantive or actionable, or even coherent.

It feels to me like it arises in feeling.  The “brain” likely is a difference maker, a black/white, A not-A creator.  Edward de Bono has this interesting ideas of catchment areas.  When rain falls on one side of a mountain or another, 2 drops might fall within a couple feet of one another, but that water wind up in two different rivers, many, many miles apart.  How do we bridge the crest of the mountain?  Indeed, how might we invert the mountain, to create reverse catchment areas, where agreement flows naturally?

That would likely be simple: eliminate all alternative inputs.  Given how patently indefensible Leftists positions are on their own issues–social justice, poverty remediation, reducing the role of power elites, working for global peace–they can only be sustained in a vacuum.

But that was not what I meant to say.

Nuance is a feeling.  It is the feeling you get when you chew something slowly, or sip your wine mindfully.  There are textures that emerge with time.  There are small difference, small feelings, small sensations that arise.

Cognitively, it feels like to me tense thinking leads to either/or thinking.  When the limbic system is activated–as it is in chronically tense, fearful people–then all ideas acquire a “glow” of either good or bad.  Academics who routinely preach the evils of “essentializing” will in a heartbeat essentialize Donald Trump, Republicans, the Religious Right, and any other sorts of people with whom they have no personal familiarity, since they don’t tend to choose academic habitations.

They do, in other words, what they preach against.  Why?  They lack emotional skill.  They lack flexibility.  They lack self reflectiveness.  They lack, frankly, a better moral code, making their worn patchwork quilt their only option if they want to stay warm in a cold world.

Feeling rules the world.  Only those who cannot touch their own feelings deny this, and those people are ruled by feelings most of all, even if they passionately defend the primacy of logic.

My world, what I see daily, is both comical and tragic.  It is tragic when I feel what could be.  It is comical when I’m drunk.

I don’t know who reads this, but I enjoy writing it.  I was thinking today that I have never been in a chat room.  I don’t know what most people do on the internet, but for me, this is pretty much it.  I read, and I write.  It’s my thing, and everybody needs a thing or two.

So I’m sitting in a bar watching Washington embarrass Stanford, wondering: is graceful the opposite of disgraceful? Inquiring minds want to know.

What was the purpose of the KKK? It was the use by one group of people of violence and the threat of violence to keep another class in fear, such that they could be controlled politically.

In what meaningful respect do the bullying tactics of the Left differ in means or aim, other than that, in this country, they haven’t yet killed anyone in the name of Political Correctness?

I don’t see it. I am trying to engage with someone who was s friend from Breathwork, and it is literally like s form of mental illness, a fever, a counter-Liberal madness has fallen on her. Snd there are many millions like her.

She thinks she means well. She loves puppies no doubt, and babies, and first fall of snow. But certain basic logical thought processes based on the Golden Rule have become impossible. There is one set of rules for the Left and snother for the right. This fact cannot be questioned, and this policy need not be defended, since it has the ontological supremacy as the Trinity in Catholic theology.

It is a very, very odd thing to see. I have seen it countless times but it continues to amaze me.

And the KKK for its part was protecting s way of life, as they saw it. Everything Leftists do is oriented around the destruction of everything good, noble, and beautiful in this world.
